Esmeralda entered her office and began to pack her bag. Kain had just offered her what she really needed. She walked out of her office and saw him coming out of the elevator.
"Kain, thank you for the day off." She said.
"No need. We all need especially after that survey. No way that I would deny you a good rest." Kain said and walked on past her. Esmeralda headed to the elevator and headed down to the lobby. She walked to the receptionist desk and made to sign out.
"Leaving already?" Dona asked looking up at Esmeralda.
"Yes. The boss told me that he isn't going to be working today so I could do as well as go home early." Esmeralda explained.
"Lucky you. Always wished it was me that was on leave" Dona said. "Well then, good bye"
"Well, I wouldn't call it a leave. I already spent half of my day here. It is just like an early departure" she said and walked away.
