Chapter 37 - Self Reflection

Esmeralda woke up feeling a bit sore at her joints and she looked at the alarm clock beside her. 04:34 Am. It was really strange for her to wake up especially when she knew that she was a very heavy sleeper. She rose from her bed putting on her soft flip-flops then she headed into the kitchen. She grabbed a glass and a bottle of dry whiskey. Then she walked back into the room. Sitting on the bed, she poured herself a glass and took a huge gulp. She felt the hot liquid slide down her throat and with it came a sweet relish.
