Chapter 98 - A new hero

Before Pete and Alice could say anything, Rorak turned into a dragon and flew away from there,

His speed was so fast that he was already out of sight before they could blink,

"Who do you think the new hero will be? " Alice asked,

Pete said, "How would I know that? "

Alice said with a bitter smile,

"It would be great if the hero is a girl "

"I sometimes feels lonely being the only girl here"

Rorak returned after a couple of hours with a girl riding his back,

Pete and Alice quickly ran up to him with excitement,

A girl with jet black hair, fair skin, curvy figure and school uniform climbed down from Rorak's back,

Rorak then turned to his human form,

"Hi, I am Alice and this is Pete " Alice introduced her and Pete,

"Hi my name is Olivia " The girl said with a sad tone,

Alice quickly ran up to her and asked in a concerned tone,

"What happened? why do you look so sad? "

Olivia didn't say anything but tears began flowing out of her eyes,

Alice comforted her while Pete and Rorak were just looking at them with a confused expression,

After some time, Olivia calmed down,

Alice asked, "Are you okay now, do you need anything? "

"I am fine, I just miss my parents ", Olivia said as she wiped her tears,

Rorak said,

"Don't worry, you will be able to meet them again if you can defeat the demon lord "

"I don't want to defeat anything " Olivia said angrily,

Pete said,

"I know it's hard being suddenly summoned to a different world without your consent "

"But this world's people need us, and we have the power to help them so we should help them "

Olivia's eyes were tearing again when Alice took her inside the cave saying,

"Don't follow us "

Pete was now confused and was wondering did he say something wrong,

Rorak said,

"She just lost her family and there is no guarantee that she will be able to see them again "

"Let her be for some time, she will eventually ease up"

Alice has taken Olivia to Morsh's room and sat her down on a chair,

Olivia saw sleeping Morsh with her teary eyes and asked,

"Who is this? and why did you bring me here? "

Alice said,

"He is also a hero summoned by the goddess "

"And apparently he is super strong and took a wrong path that led the goddess to punish him "

Olivia said,

"What did he do? "

Alice shrugged her shoulders indicating she doesn't know,

They then just talked for some time,

It was now evening, and Alice and Olivia walked out of Morsh's room with the smell of food following them. The smell was delicious, and it made Olivia's stomach growl.

"I'm so hungry," she said.

"Me too," Alice said. "The food looks so delicious."

Rorak and Pete were sitting at the table, waiting for them.

"Please, sit down and eat," Rorak said. "I hope you enjoy it."

Alice and Olivia sat down at the table and began to eat. The food was even better than it smelled. Olivia ate so much that she had to loosen her belt.

"Thank you for the delicious meal" she said.

"You're welcome," Rorak said. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

After dinner, Alice took Olivia to Morsh's room. Then they sat down on the edge of the bed and talked for a while longer.

"Thank you for helping me" Olivia said.

"I'm glad," Alice said. "I'm always here for you, Olivia."

Olivia glanced at sleeping Morsh from time to time as she talked with Alice, her cheeks red. She couldn't help but be drawn to him.

She knew that she shouldn't be thinking about him like this. After all, he was unconscious. But she couldn't help herself. His presence was simply too intoxicating.

Alice noticed Olivia's glances at Morsh, and she couldn't help but smile. She knew that Olivia was a good girl, but she also knew that she was impressionable. She hoped that Olivia wouldn't develop any romantic feelings for Morsh.

"What do you think about him? " Alice asked,

"I think we are the same " said Olivia,

Alice looked at her with confused expression,

Olivis said,

"You told me he was strong, so he might have found a way to go back to our world "

"And the goddess made him like this to silent him "

They both now had made this conspiracy in their mind and were believing it too deeply,

And with that they were deeply falling for sleeping Morsh without knowing his character,

Olivia continued to talk with Alice, but her mind was elsewhere. She was thinking about Morsh, and she was wondering if he would ever wake up. She hoped that he would, and she hoped that he would talk to her.

She knew that she was falling for him, and she couldn't help herself. She felt a connection with each other.

They stayed up late talking and laughing. By the time they went to bed, Olivia felt much better. She knew that she had a friend in Alice.

The next day, after eating breakfast, Rorak took Olivia to armory and said,

"Choose a weapon "

Olivia stood in the armory, surrounded by weapons of all shapes and sizes. She had been told to choose a weapon to train with, but she wasn't sure what to choose. She had never held a weapon in her life before.

Her eyes scanned the room, and they landed on a bow. She had always been fascinated by archery, but she had never had the opportunity to try it. She took a deep breath and walked over to the bow.

She picked it up and held it in her hands. It was perfectly balanced, and it felt comfortable in her grip. She closed her eyes and imagined herself shooting arrows at targets. She could feel the power of the bow in her hands.

Olivia opened her eyes and smiled. She knew that this was the weapon for her.

Rorak led Olivia outside of the cave and began to teach her the basics of archery. He taught her how to stand, how to hold the bow, and how to draw the string. He was a patient and knowledgeable teacher, and Olivia was a quick learner.

After several hours of practice, Olivia was exhausted but exhilarated. She had never had so much fun in her life. She thanked Rorak for his instruction.

In the dinner table,

Rorak said,

"Alice you are now a sage, but you don't have any practical experience. "

"Tomorow you will go out in the world and can return only after a year "

"Pete will also come with you for your protection "

Rorak's decision to send Alice out to gain experience in the world and send Pete to be her bodyguard was a wise one.

Alice was a young woman with a lot of potential. She was intelligent, resourceful, and brave she needed to experience the world in order to grow stronger and mature. He also knew that she needed to learn how to defend herself. That's why he sent Pete to be her bodyguard.

Rorak's sudden decision caught everyone by surprise,

But Alcie knew she had to grow stronger to survive the world so she didn't deny it,

In the morning, Alice and Pete packed their stuff and left the cave,

Rorak and Olivia watched them walking away,

"One day you will also go out to experience the world " Rorak said,

He then taught the whole day,

Pete and Alice fought monsters and visited many cities and villages in the span of a year while Olivia was training with her bow in the cave.

Pete was a skilled and experienced warrior, and he was able to protect Alice from the monsters they encountered. They visited many different places, and they met many different people. Alice learned a lot about the world during this time, and she also learned a lot about herself.

Olivia, meanwhile, was training with her bow in the cave. She was determined to become a master archer, and she worked hard every day. She practiced her aim, her strength, and her endurance. She also learned how to use different types of arrows, and how to track and hunt prey.

After a year, Pete and Alice returned to the cave. Alice was happy and was feeling victorious, but Pete felt nothing as he has experienced many difficult things,

But he was happy for Alice as she got stronger and defeated many strong monsters, and they had visited many amazing places.

Olivia was surprised and delighted to see them. She had missed Alice very much. She showed them her new archery skills, and they were both impressed.

Rorak was also pleased to see Pete and Alice again. He was proud of all that they had accomplished. He knew that they were both ready to take on new challenges.

In the dinner table,

Rorak said,

"After a week, Alice and Olivia will go out in the world and can return only after a year "

Olivia knew her time was coming but was happy that Alice would be accompanying her.

After dinner, Alice and Oliva were sitting in the edge of Morsh's bed,

"So how was your journey " asked Olivia,

"It was mostly nice but Pete was too protective and wouldn't let me fight alone " said Alice,

Alice then sighed and said,

"He was too annoying that I wasn't able to enjoy the way I want "

"Now we will be able to enjoy with each other "

"So are there any strong monsters outside " Olivea asked,

"Hardly, the monsters are mostly weak and some strong one can be ignored or fought with a party of two master ranks " said Alice,

Alice then looked at unconscious Morsh and said,

"Do you sleep here or in another room? "

"I sleep here next to him " Olivia said with reddened cheeks,

They then talked about hours before sleeping on both sides of Morsh,

In the morning, the smell of food woke them up and they walked out of the room,

Rorak and Pete were sitting on the table waiting for them,

They then ate the food and after that Rorak took out a staff from his storage bag,

The staff was made of a dark, polished wood, and it was topped with a glowing blue crystal. The crystal was shaped like a dragon's eye, and it seemed to pulse with energy.

The staff was covered in intricate runes and symbols. These symbols were written in a language that was unknown to most people, but to a mage, they were the key to unlocking the staff's power.

Rorak handed the staff to Alice saying,

"This will amplify your spells making them more powerful "

As soon as Alice touched the staff, she felt its power course through her veins. It was a warm, tingling sensation, like electricity flowing through her body. She felt stronger, faster, and more alert than ever before.

She closed her eyes and concentrated. She could feel the magic flowing through the staff, and she knew that she could control it. She could use it to do anything she wanted.

She opened her eyes and smiled,

"Thank you, this will be a big help "

Rorak said,

"Don't rely on the staff too much, use it only when you need more power "

"Mages usually rely on staff too much and they overestimate their power when they lose it "

Alice nodded and said,

"I will use it wisely "
