Pete reached the port where they had parked the ships,
There were some dwarves on the ships and some of them saw Pete coming towards them,
They jumped down from the ship and one of them asked,
"Where are the others? "
Pete said,
"Everyone except me are dead. "
Everyone were surprised when they heard this and took out their weapons,
"Don't lie, you want us to believe that only you survived "
Pete raised his hands up and said,
"Hey, I was just joking... we won the battle and I was sent to get something from the human kingdom."
A big smile came up on the faces of the dwarves as they puts down their weapons,
They all cheered up and one of them said,
"We would have killed you for your joke if you weren't given a task. "
He then pointed towards a ship and said,
"Go in that ship, some of us will take you to the human kingdom."
"And you should be happy, we are sailing a ship for only one man. "
Pete climbed on the ship and some dwarves came after and sailed the ship towards the human kingdom,
After about a week, Pete could now see human kingdom but was surprised by the scene,
The port was half destroyed, and demons were patrolling the port,
The dwarves quickly turned the ship around as they saw the demons saying,
"Turn back, The human kingdom is under the control of demons "
Pete jumped from the ship and swam towards the port and started killing the demons as soon as he reached the port,
After killing all of the demons at the port, Pete searched for the humans but didn't find a single one,
So he hurriedly ran towards the capital city,
He came across hordes of monsters withing a couple of minutes of distance from each other,
Pete killed them at first but later chose to ignore them and quietly run towards the capital city,
With his incredible speed and nonstop running, he reached the capital city within three days,
But to his surprise, the city looked completely fine,
There were guards outside the city and people were entering and leaving the city,
Pete said,
"Just what is going on here? "
"There were countless monsters on the way here but the city is completely fine "
Pete looked at the city gate for some time,
"But why does it feel like a trap. "
Soon the night fell, and Pete jumped the city wall and entered the city,
But again, to his surprise, the city looked completely normal,
There were humans everywhere in the city doing their everyday tasks,
Pete then walked around the city for a bit and then headed towards the castle,
He stealthily entered the castle and found everything to be normal,
He then entered the king's room,
The king was sitting on a chair reading a book,
He turned towards Pete and said with a bright smile on his face,
"Welcome hero, I was waiting for you from a long time."
Pete's eyes widened at that moment, and he quickly jumped back outside but hits an invisible wall instead,
Pete then ran forward but again, hits an invisible wall,
The human king then stood up and walked up to Pete,
"You made me wait hero... so it better be worth it. "
The king then snapped and slowly turned into one of the wives of last demon lord,
Pete was now trapped in an 4x4 barrier,
Pete frantically punched the barrier, but it was of no use,
Pete then looked at the demoness in front of him and said,
"What do you want? "
The demoness said,
"We have some questions for you, if your answer satisfies us, we will let you go. "
Pete said,
"What questions? "
The demoness said,
"Which god send you here? "
Pete said,
"The goddess summoned me here!!! "
The demoness said,
"There is no point in lying, we know some other god send you here looking at your aura color. "
"All we want to know which god send you here and from which method "
Pete said,
"I told you already, the goddess summoned me here. "
The demoness said,
"I know that too... I want to know, how your god send you here from the summoning portal "
Pete was now looking at the demoness with a confused expression on her face,
The demoness saw Pete's expression and said,
"Sister Mel, sister Tel, I don't think he knows "
Two other demonesses appeared out of thin air behind the demoness,
The one on the left was the first wife of the last demon lord said,
"Don't get fooled by his expression, sister Del."
Del turned around and said,
"Sister Mel, but I feel like he doesn't know. "
Mel walked in front and said to Pete,
"Don't lie, just tell us which god sent you and we will let you go."
Pete sighed and said,
"Just what are you guys talking about? "
Mel looked at Pete's eyes for a second and said,
"I think you are right, sister Del, he doesn't know anything. "
Pete unsheathed his sword while saying,
"You all think I am a fool of something. "
Mel said,
"Don't waste your energy, even your holy sword can't break this barrier "
Pete strikes the barrier with the dark holy sword,
The barrier didn't even budge but the dark energy entered the barrier and started absorbing it,
Mel said,
"Like I said hero, don't waste your energy "
But Pete didn't stop and continuously hits the barrier with the dark holy sword,
The three demonesses smiled as they saw Pete hitting the barrier,
But their smile soon vanished when the barrier suddenly disappeared,
The dark energy has absorbed the barrier and has returned to the dark holy sword,
Pete then leaped towards the demonesses with the sword ready to take down their necks,
But Mel vanished and appeared behind Pete and hits behind his head making him loose conscious,
Pete fell on the ground with the dark holy sword in his hand,
Tel was about to pick up the dark holy sword when Mel stopped her,
"Don't you remember what the humans said, nobody survives after touching the hero's sword "
"Just leave it here and take him to the prison "
Tel nodded and picked up Pete and left the room,
There were only demons outside of the room,
Not just outside the room, there were only demons in the whole capital city,
Whatever Pete saw, was just an illusion.
Tel took him to the prison where she locked him with Leona, Amira, Luna, the king and the butler,
"Take care of your hero "
All of them quickly gathered around Pete and checked his body,
They sighed of relief when they found out that Pete was still breathing and just waited for Pete to wake up,
In the king's room, Mel and Del were looking at the dark holy sword,
Mel said,
"The humans also said that this sword gives the hero his powers "
"Let's send this to the demon kingdom "
Del said,
"How are we going to send this to the demon kingdom when we can't even touch it "
Mel smiled and said,
"We don't need to touch it send it somewhere "
She then emptied a box in the side of the room and placed it next to the dark holy sword,
She then hovered her hand above the dark holy sword,
The floor around the sword started cracking and soon started floating up,
She then tilted the piece of floor and the dark holy sword slides off of it and landed in the box,
Mel then closed the box and said,
"We can send this now "
She clapped and a demon entered the room and took the box away,
Del said,
"Sister, how did he break the barrier? "
Mel said,
"I don't know that, but he only broke it after wielding that sword "
Del said,
"Wouldn't it be great if we can send this sword back to our world for research then? "
Mel said,
"We can't send items from this world to ours, it will alarm the goddess of this world. "
Del said,
"I know that too... it was just a silly thought "
Tel returned at that moment,
"I have locked the hero, but don't you think he would break the cell if he is capable of breaking the barrier "
Mel said,
"That cell can contain a grandmaster, also apparently the hero can't do anything without his sword."
In the cell, Pete opened his eyes and saw everyone,
Leona said,
"Pete, are you okay... are you hurt anywhere "
Pete stood up and looked around and found himself in the cell,
He then looked at the people present in the cell and sighed,
"Thank God that you all are safe "
Leona said,
"We are safe and now we can be free with your help "
Pete asked with a confused expression,
"What do you mean? "
Leona said,
"The demons have imprisoned us "
Pete asked,
"When did this happen? "
The king said,
"I can answer that better "
"After you left, the demons attacked our kingdom and without the army, they easily took over the kingdom "
"They killed a lot of humans and imprisoned a lot of us for their pleasure and work"
Pete said with a confused expression on his face,
"What do you mean, I just saw the people in the city happily living their life "
The king was surprised after hearing this and said,
"How is this possible... there were no humans left in the city "
Pete didn't believe the king and turned his head towards Leona,
Leona said,
"Yes, I also saw the demons bringing a lot of humans in the cells around us."
"And those also told me the exact same thing "
Pete was now confused and didn't know who to believe, his eyes or their words,
He took a deep breath and said,
"I will show you guys what I saw "
Pete then walked up to the bars of the cell and tried bending them,
But no matter how much strength he put, the metal bars didn't even budge,
Pete then tried kicking but hurts his leg instead,
"Let's see if these bars can stop my holy sword "
Pete then raised his hand calling for the dark holy sword,
But after trying for couple of minutes he gave up,
"The sword must be out of my range "
Pete then thought for a moment while the others just watched him,
Pete said,
"Morsh can you get me out of here? "
Amira's and the king's eyes brightened up hearing Morsh's name,
Morsh was still absorbing the souls so he didn't answer,
After not hearing a reply from Morsh, Pete tried couple of more time to bend the bars and eventually gave up,
Leona said,
"We have nothing to do here... Why don't you tell us what happened with you "
Pete sat down and told them what happened with him,
Leona and the butler's eyes were teary while Amira and the king were indifferent and Luna fell asleep halfway through the story,
