It was noon and they were resting near the river sitting in shade of a tree,
Sky said,
"We will reach the Bason village in an hour "

Chris was drinking water and Rock was sitting with Pete,
Pete was blushing while taking a sneak peek at Iris,
The priestess and Iris were sitting together,
The priestess whispered in ear of Iris,
"He is looking at you"
‣
Iris was feeling something strange seeing Pete,
"I know he is looking at me, but it's different, his eyes, posture, his way of talking and walking and his attitude is completely different "
‣
The priestess nodded and said,
"Well, love is the purest gift of goddess and it can even change monsters "
Iris sighed,
'I have to keep an eye on him from now on, I will follow him everywhere '

Rock said,
"Let's go, I am itching to fight "

Pete said,
"I know the village chief's house, I met him once during a quest "
Sky said,
"Lead the way then "

Pete nodded and took them to the house of the village chief,
He knocked on the door, but no one replied,
Sky pulled back Pete and stepped in front of the door and knocked,
"We are here from adventurer's guild, we seek the audience with the village chief,

The door opened halfway and a little girl around 7 year old peeked out,
Sky asked,
"Where is the village chief ?"
The little girl said,
"Father is sleeping "

Sky squatted down and said,
"Can we have a little chat with him "
The girl denied by moving her head sideways,
A voice came from inside,
"Who is it "

Sky said,
"We came from the adventurer's guild and want to talk to you about something "
The person said,
"Come in "

The little girl opened the door and they all entered the house,
The little girl then took them to a room where the village chief was lying on a bed,
His head was wrapped bandages that were poorly wrapped and most of his bedsheet was dyed red from his blood,

The priestess quickly started healing him,
His wounds slowly started healing and were completely healed after couple of minutes,
He stood up from the bed and bowed to the priestess,
"Thank you very much for healing me, but I am sorry, I don't have anything to give you "

The priestess said,
"I don't need anything, I am here on a quest "
The chief looked up and saw the others,
He recognized Pete the moment he saw him,
"Ohh... you came back "

Pete smiled and Sky asked the chief,
"Did the bandits injured you.? "
The chief nodded and said,
"Yes, they come in and go as they want, first they were only taking food, but now they started taking the girls too "

Sky clenched his fists and said,
"Do you know the location of their base "
The chief nodded and said,
"Yes, but I don't think you should go there, some of the mercenaries had also joined them "

Sky angrily said,

The bandits have created their base from wood like a fortress,
Bandits were patrolling around and inside the base,
Sky said,
"This is going to be difficult, there are more than 50 bandits here "

Chris nodded and said,
"Yeah and there are mercenaries among them so it will be more troublesome "
‣
Sky said,
"How do you think we should attack them "
Chirs said,
"Iris and I will attack them from a distance and you, Rock and Pete will fighting them up close "
‣
Sky nodded and said,
"That is a good plan, first take down the guards patrolling and then attack the wall with fireball and make an opening for us "
‣
The priestess said while buffing them,
"They are not categorized as humans the moment they kidnapped the women so I will also join "
Pete was panicking,

Pete asked,
"Can't we capture them alive? "
Sky said,
"It was possible if there are 10 or 15, but there are more than 50 here "

Sky said in Rock's ear,

Rock nodded and covered his greatsword in aura,
Sky also covered his sword with aura and they both rushed toward the camp,
Iris shot down the patrolling bandits and Chris shot a fireball on the wall,
The wooden wall caught on fire and a hole created where the fireball had landed,

The bandits were all alarmed and were rushing out of the camp,
Some were shooting arrows from the wall,
Iris shot down the archers,
Chris was shooting fireballs and the fire was spreading in the camp,

Pete was just standing there frozen, watching everything,
Iris shouted,
"What are you doing... "
‣
Pete didn't answer and was just staring at the bandits,
Sky and Rock were killing bandits with ease,
Rock said,
"These are not that strong... we nearly killed half of them "
‣
6 men came out of the camp at that moment,
Iris shot mana arrows toward them,
One of walked forward and destroyed the arrows with his sword,
All of them were holding swords and their swords were covered in aura,
‣
Sky said,
"So you are the mercenaries "
One of them said,
"No we were mercenaries, now we are bandits "
‣
Sky signaled Rock to retreat and they both began taking back steps slowly,
One of the men said,
"Do you think we will let you get away alive "
Sky said,
"Why did you join the bandits "
A tall muscular man jumped out of the camp at that moment with a saber in his hand,
"They joined because of me "

Rock asked,
"Who are you? "
The muscular man manifested aura sabers around him and said,
"I am your death"

He then launched the aura sabers toward Sky and Rock,
They both tried to dodge but were unable to dodge and the sabers pierced their stomach and they both fell on the ground bleeding,
The bandit leader said,
"Capture the rest "

The six men bowed and ran toward the location of the arrows,
Iirs saw them coming toward them and said,
"We need to get out of here "
Chris said,
"But what about Sky and Rock "
‣
Iris grabbed the priestess and said,
"We will come back with reinforcements "
The mercenaries have already surrounded them and one of them said,
"Surrender otherwise I have to kill you "
‣
Iris said,
"Dying is better than surrendering to the scoundrels like you "
The mercenary said,
"You got quite a tongue there "
‣
Pete was still frozen and terrified,
Morsh said,
"Pete come back to your senses, otherwise you will be killed here "
The mercenaries knocked Iris and tied the four of them and took them to the leader,
They then dropped them in front of the leader,
The leader looked at them and said,
"An elf and a priestess... tonight I will deflower both of you "

The mercenary said,
"Boss what do we do about the others "
The leader said,
"I will finish them myself, untie them "

The mercenaries quickly untied them,
The leader then walked up to Chris and picked him up by his hair and punched him in stomach,
Chris vomited blood and lost consciousness,

The leader started laughing and said,
"Haha... he couldn't even handle a punch... "
Pete was shaking in fear and Morsh said,
"Atleast let me take over "

Fear has overwhelmed Pete and he couldn't even move,

The leader saw the shaking Pete and picked him up with his hair,
'He feels strong and weak at the same time'

He then punched Pete on stomach, but it didn't affected Pete,
He punched again, then again and again, but his punches were not affecting Pete,
One of the mercenary said,
"Boss he seems strong to be unscratched by your punches "
The leader then angrily smashed Pete on the ground,
Morsh said inwardly,
'You dare to hurt the body I live in, your death won't be pretty '

The leader felt danger and jumped back while manifesting aura sabers around him,
The mercenaries were shocked to see that and one of them asked,
"Boss, what happened "

The leader was thinking,
'What was that just now... I felt grave danger as I slammed that guy '
Morsh said,
"Pete atleast let me take over "
‣
Pete was shaking violently with fear,
'I am going to die.... he will kill me.... what do I do... '
Morsh said,

He then started walking toward Iris,
Pete was looking at the leader walking toward Iris,
He grabbed Iris by her neck and said,

Iris was choking and struggling to get out of his grip,
She kicked the leader in his right eye,
He dropped Iris and covered his eye with his hands,
The mercenaries quickly grabbed Iris and the others,

He screamed and removed his hands from his eye,
His eye was bleeding, he grabbed his saber and said,
"I will end all of you right now "
