"We are ready to go, Your Majesty!"
Borneo's voice disturbed Cyril who was concentrating. However, his strength did not weaken at all. The energy spheres are generated to create a warp that has a large enough hole so that Adriana's carriage can enter without removing any parts. Gradually, the sphere that was originally as big as dust, expanded rapidly. When Cyril had had enough, he stopped and released his power over the magic that had been created.
"For someone who supposedly has no recollection of warping, the stability is amazing." Adriana, who had not yet climbed into her carriage, spoke.
Cyril heard that as a compliment. Even though Algis and also Borneo joined him in praising him yesterday, saying that Cyril had done something of value, he was not happy. Another case with the words heard from Adriana. Cyril was very proud.
"Thank you for the compliment, Princess. However, I am not that good."
Adriana laughed, then left Cyril just like that. Algis was already standing in front of the carriage, took Adriana's hand, and helped the woman up. The royal knights led by Fearish line up in front of the warp hole. Horse carriage after.
Cyril himself would ride in the back row, being the last to enter the warp, making sure no one was left behind. One of the knights belonging to the Adriana residence was holding the reins of the horse that Cyril was going to wear. He approached the knight and took over the reins immediately.
"Thank you!" said Cyril, nodding.
Fearish's signal echoed. Fearish and Bornean horses plodded ahead. As if properly commanded, the other horses also galloped slowly. They disappeared into the warp, as well as those behind them.
Dizziness hit Cyril as he started to enter the warp. It took almost a full sixty seconds before he saw a blinding light.
"Welcome, Cyril!" Adelman's voice caught Cyril's ear immediately.
Cyril opened his eyes and his horse tiptoed in surprise. The knights who had preceded him had led their horses as they walked. Cyril did the same. However, as soon as he dismounted, a knight met his reins, taking over.
"You don't have to treat me especially, sir, I feel uncomfortable!" Cyril complained.
Adelman laughed at that. He patted Cyril hard on the shoulder, whether angry or pleased. "Then you must look normal! Because otherwise how would I treat you like that!"
Cyril so could not say anything more. He notices that the fortress is busier than when he last visited before being told that he can create warps and even magic. "Did something happen?" asked Cyril curiously.
"The investigators we dispatched yesterday fired light magic as a signal for an impending attack. So, we're trying to contact the mercenaries. That time you also participated in this adventure, right?"
Cyril nodded as if he understood. Even though a month ago Cyril was just a reader of stories about knights and felt amused because the name and life of this great knight were similar to his. So, whatever the real Cyril is doing in the story, all that is known is as smart as what is written on his cell phone.
Plus the story of the Red Moon Warriors and what they experienced, is very different. As if what is written in the book is just the outside, not the whole story.
"We have prepared a place for the knights to rest. I will inform His Majesty about the next trip."
"How many black beasts will attack?" asked Cyril.
"Unfortunately I didn't know that at all! All of us in this fortress only saw the warning beacon and the investigators we sent have not returned until recently."
Meaning that no one had any intention of saving the poor fellow who was sent out to investigate the forest. It could be that right now those investigators had become food for the black beasts somewhere.
"I hope they survive!" said Cyril sincerely.
Adelman was pensive for a few moments, then he answered Cyril's hopes with a smile. "Hopefully."

Somehow they have to get to the fort. However, the wolf-like black beasts followed them very quickly. The only option they could take was to run away with all their might.
"How about this?" The 20-year-old man's breath caught.
They all didn't sleep last night because they kept running away.
"Our path to the fort is blocked. Strange! It's as if they were ordered to do just that. At this rate, we're all going to die!" whispered another. He pressed his body against a large tree trunk whose fibers were peeling a little.
"Is this a devil's doing?"
Everyone including the man who asked got goosebumps instantly. They had never actually met a demon.
"Impossible. Such a being would not interfere in the attack of the black beasts. You know the heroes in the past have made pacts with all of them. No!"
Somehow, they were relieved to hear the statement.
"I'll be the bait."
The two people who were reinforcing each other turned to the only member of the team who didn't say much. Their eyes widened and both of them were very relieved someone had taken the initiative to save them.
"What if it doesn't work?"
"Must work! You will save me!"
They were all silent, unsure of the sudden plan that was sparked. However, something must be sacrificed.
"Okay! We are coming to save you!" One of the two people who did not want to sacrifice themselves spoke.
The young man who was far from them was stronger and had more stamina too. He could have arrived at the fort before them.
The young man then stood up, took a swing, and ran as hard as he could. The ones left behind breathed a sigh of relief then stood up and ran as hard as the bait to reach the fort.
