The knight jumped in surprise at General Adelman's words. He looked around in confusion. It seemed as if he wanted to get help. But none of the knights and soldiers who shared his opinion helped him. They looked at him with stupid looks.
"Why are you looking at me like that? You're the ones who said that this person doesn't deserve special treatment!" he shouted because he didn't get any help.
General Adelman shrugged. "Before you doubt the merits of others, you should find out what was done for a commoner's knight to receive a title from the king!"
The knight jumped to his feet in surprise. His face was red with shame and he felt betrayed. Then he dismounted, as General Adelman had instructed. He puffed out his chest and handed the reins to Cyril.
