As soon as Prince Algis was invited into the study, the queen rose from her seat and ran to meet her son.
"How are you? Is anyone hurt?" the queen asked the prince.
He was sure that His Majesty had received all the information about the attack. What the damage was and how it happened had probably been reported, if not in full. However, the Queen was playing "mother" and for that Prince Algis was very grateful.
"I'm fine, Mother! I was not the target this time. It seems that my knight has been deemed a nuisance by them and will be eliminated. He was attacked by them around 3 o'clock this morning!" Prince Algis explained.
