The King had many conversations with General Adelman. It began with the King remembering the clothes Cyril wore and then moved on to the war that took place shortly after the three men's coming-of-age party.
"Even the queen admired General Adelman. It's just that I expressed my feelings for him first and got the approval of the queen's family!" The king said proudly.
Cyril didn't know what to do as a listener. He didn't understand why he had come here and was involved in past conversations. If he could, he would leave and wait at the training dormitory instead.
Tea was served by the palace butler. Then he went back outside, leaving the four people chatting in the study. The chatter finally stopped. The king sipped the tea slowly before finally looking at Cyril.
"I want to thank you again as a father! You have no idea how happy I was to hear of my son's safe return!" The king smiled gently. "So I want to give you a gift, Knight Cyril!"
