Chapter 17 - Chapter 16 ( Preparing For School )

With his bed made, Liam made his way to the bathroom in his room. He closed the door behind him and began his morning routine. He brushed his teeth, making sure to get every corner of his mouth. He then took a bath, carefully avoiding getting the dressing on his back wet.

Once he was done, Liam cleaned himself off with a towel, making sure to dry every inch of his skin. He then got out of the bathroom and opened his wardrobe, selecting a new and pressed outfit to wear. He carefully put on the clothes, making sure every seam and crease was perfectly in place.

Sitting on his bed, Liam took out his pomade and began to style his hair. He combed and smoothed every strand, making sure his hair was perfectly coiffed. Finally, he slipped on his black leather shoes, feeling a sense of completeness and readiness.

With his morning routine complete, Liam straightened up and went for his bag. He slung it over his shoulder and walked out of his room in slow and measured steps, feeling a sense of calm and determination. He was ready to face whatever the day had in store for him.

Liam opened the door of his room, and a sliver of light spilled out into the hallway. He walked out of his room, his feet making soft creaking sounds on the floor. As he exited, he reached back to close the door behind him, the click of the latch echoing through the hallway.

He walked through the hallway, his footsteps quiet on the plush carpet. The walls, adorned with elegant artwork, seemed to pass by in a blur as he made his way to the elevator. He approached the elevator, its doors sliding open with a soft whoosh.

Liam stepped inside, and the doors closed behind him, enveloping him in a warm, golden light. The elevator began its smooth descent, the floors ticking by with a gentle chime. Liam watched the numbers flash by, his mind focused on the day ahead.

As the elevator doors opened, Liam stepped out into the ground-floor hallway, his eyes scanning the area. The hallway was empty, save for a few scattered servants going about their duties. Liam's destination was the dining hall, a spacious room that was currently empty.

He walked into the dining hall, the soft clinking of dishes and the gentle hum of the refrigerator providing a soothing background noise. Liam's early rising had ensured he had the room to himself, a peaceful atmosphere that allowed him to collect his thoughts.

He had woken up before the rest of the household, driven by a desire to visit the infirmary for a change of dressing. This would enable him to join his siblings on their journey to school, a prospect that filled him with a sense of normalcy.

Liam's eyes roved around the dining hall, taking in the elegant decor and the empty chairs. He signaled a nearby servant to bring his breakfast, and the servant nodded silently before disappearing into the kitchen.

The servant returned shortly, bearing a tray laden with steaming dishes. Liam's stomach growled in anticipation as the servant set the tray down in front of him. He ate quickly, savoring the flavors and textures of his meal.

As he ate, Liam felt a sense of calm wash over him. The peaceful atmosphere of the dining hall, combined with the satisfying food, helped to clear his mind and focus his thoughts.

After he was done, Liam pushed his plate away and stood up, his chair scraping softly against the floor. He glanced around the room, his eyes coming to rest on the living room.

He walked over to the living room and set his bag down on a chair, preparing to head out to the infirmary for his dressing change. With his bag safely stowed, Liam felt a sense of organization and readiness.

The servant came in to clear the table, quietly gathering up the dishes and silverware. Liam watched him for a moment, then turned and walked away, leaving the servant to his work.

As Liam walked out of the dining hall, he felt a sense of purpose and direction. He was ready to face the day ahead, knowing that he had a busy schedule to keep.

The sound of the servant clearing the table faded into the distance as Liam walked away, lost in his own thoughts and plans for the day.

Liam walked out of the main double doors of the mansion, feeling the warm sun on his skin. He took a deep breath, savoring the fresh air as he made his way towards the infirmary. The sound of his footsteps echoed through the stillness of the morning.

As he walked, Liam's thoughts turned to the task ahead. He needed to get his dressing changed, and he hoped it wouldn't take too long. He quickened his pace, his eyes fixed on the infirmary building in the distance.
