They've spent more than two weeks in captivity now, and it seemed these Advocates weren't planning on letting them go anytime soon. He had already come up with thousands of escape plans, but his power nullifiers still on, he didn't see himself accomplishing any of his plans. If he was the only one in captivity, he could probably escape by himself, but with Nathan it wasn't possible, and there was no way he was going to leave his brother here and escape.

He had to commend these Advocates, for people who had their enemies living with them, they were rather complacent about it, and also over caring for people who could potentially break out and kill them. It was probably all a facade to try to convince them into thinking they were good people. Nigel knew that presumably, the Advocates were the good guys because they didn't use hell or indulge in hellish activities.
