He knew the whip was one of the twenty four treasured possession of the church, but he hadn't heard of it possessing any power at all. Something was definitely going on with the wielder of the weapon. He had some sort of trick up his sleeve. Perhaps he was resisting equality to an extent. If so, then he might be a bigger threat than Nicholas had described.
Hollister evaded a rogue slash aimed at his side before covering the distance between him and his opponent in a flash. He'd been getting accustomed to the whip's movement, and ever since then, his opponent hasn't been in good shape.
