"Were there signs of the room being searched?" Stella asked Benjamin.
"No. This I am sure," Benjamin replied.
"Wasn't the murderer worried about the evidence? If he was, he would have been looking for it everywhere, wouldn't he?" Stella asked in suspicion.
"There are two possibilities. It's either that the murderer was confident about getting the evidence, or Trenton's testimony itself is the evidence. Since he is dead now, so no one knows about the secret anymore," Benjamin guessed.
"If that's the case, then those around Trenton should be in danger as well. Since he has killed Trenton, then why didn't he kill Mrs. Zane too?" Stella felt surprised as she glanced at the room once more. She had a bad feeling.
"Perhaps he murdered Trenton not to destroy the evidence, but because he held a grudge against him," Benjamin guessed again.
