Stella grew increasingly nervous. She tried to break free to no avail.
"Your assistant told me you haven't been sleeping well for a long time, so I didn't want to disturb you. Then something popped up so I had no choice but to leave before you woke up," she explained.
Jasper Milton cupped her face and turned her to face him.
He was boiling with anger, his eyes were burning, even the breath left on her face was hot. "Stop giving excuses. All you did was put me to sleep. You did nothing."
"Well, I wanted to do something, but you were sleeping soundly." Stella tried to break free from his hand.
She failed and he pulled her closer. "What are you trying to do to me?"
Stella pushed her hands against his chest and raised her voice. "Treat you, of course. What else would I do to you?"
