The Pulse Sparrows had plenty to do after their big score success. They renovated their living spaces, tweaked the F4U, and the Ghost along with LQ began their newest project.
In recent battles, it had be obvious that the Ghost was no match for most high powered chrome junkies, and on top of that his body hadn't had years and years of modifications to adapt to, he would need some other way to combat them. Mick and scowared the city junk yards for plenty of old American Steel. He'd already begun melting it down and had made a frame for armor. If the Ghost couldn't modify his insides, he have to modify his outsides.
LQ had been working on the actual armor pieces, while the Ghost working with Clarity and Kay to get his first head implant installed. He had a comms earpiece to communicate with the team, but it wasn't easy. It had severe drawbacks, where now he'd be getting a heads up display installed in his eyes. The process wasn't easy, but with Mick's expertise and Kay's stable hands the procedure was over in a jiffy.
Mick then went over to help LQ. He installed a mini-chaingun and a flamethrower on the arms hoping to aid the Ghost in any battle. The armor was a shade of scorched metallic silver, it had the Ottawa Emblem engraved into the gloves. The helmet was painted in splattered red, looking eerily similar to blood, and it was to be second deterrent in the Pulse Sparrows' arsenal.
Hours passed and the Ghost finally awoke, trying to get used to his new eye implants. Once he'd gotten the hang of looking around, accessing its functions and turning it off, the others walked him out to see his new armor, The armor's designation was the Ottawa Powered Combat Armor, or OPCA. The Ghost entered the suit, the frame kept the weight off of the Ghost but managed to keep him aware of it. LQ disconnected it from its power source, then connected it to his neck adaptor. The Ghost immediately stumbled, having trouble keeping his hud stable and hold his balance while moving. He stumbled into a wall, knocking down the Ottawa flag. Ghost hugged the wall for a moment, then he pick up the flag and walked over to his crew.
"Pin it on my back, and get me my sledgehammer." he said.
Clarity pinned the flag to his back, while LQ got him the sledgehammer.
They stepped back as the Ghost swung at a dummy, the hydraulic actuators allowed him to hit with more force. LQ laughed and patted his shoulder.
"Looks like you can finally join us on the ground!" laughed LQ
"I'm ready to take this baby for a test run." responded the Ghost
The Group laughed as the Ghost attempted to learn more about his armor, this armor would yet prove its worth in the coming days.
