As the battle started, families and many people watched the screens, while The Bureau watched the laser's advance, they only made it into Utah, they were powerful, but destroying an entire nations of this size was time consuming.
The 200 took out satellites and relay dishes around D.C weakening the connection of to the satellites destroying their homes., friends and family. The Remnant Government launched drones to stop the 200 pilots from succeeding, but they were mislead, the C-130 was loaded with the last bunker buster, the MOAB, and was headed to the location of the R.G Bunker, escorted by the Ghost, the Busch Hunter the rest of the 200 pushed forward to the Bunker.
The C-130 took hits as it dropped the MOAB, and it's wings snapped off sending the plane into the ground exploding as the MOAB punched into ground, breaking into the bunker and detonating. The explosion rocked D.C, politicians, wealthy members of government and were reduced to atoms in seconds. The remaining 100 fighters dropped their bombs and shot down drones, together, they managed to collapse the bunker onto of itself, 22 hours into the battle.
The pilots cheered as drones fell out of the skies and the the last satellite relays exploded into pieces. They watched as D.C light up like the Forth of July, then tunnels of the Remnant Government's bunker folded down onto themselves sealing off any hope of escape as the bunker imploded, crushing everything inside. Pilots took turn dropping the last of their bombs onto the exposed bunker, killing the last government agents inside.
As the 100 pilots turned back to fly home they saw the laser grid evaporate into the skies, detonating the satellites in space, like a meteor shower they fell into the atmosphere burning up long before they every reached the ground. As they entered ODTA, it was dark, and there was only an eerie orange glow lighting up the Old Ottawa Airport. As the 100 pilots landed, the feeling of anxiety overcame the as they rushed toward the W.P.S.B.
Upon arrival, the area was molten, not a single way inside the sealed bunker. The Lasers had melted all the ground around the bunker, covering it in a layer of molten hot liquid, trapping the inhabitants inside. The Illinois and Fox Rivers had vanished, evaporated in the heat of the lasers, and every inch of their city was trapped under a layer of lava they couldn't hope to cross, or even harden into rock. The Ghost fell to his knees knowing they'd won the battle in D.C and lost the war for their home.
