As citizens cleared the rubble of the damaged city sections, one thing became clear. Those outside the state had little to no idea where the important hubs of ODTA were. With the spy ring taken down and executed, ODTA's location was still a secret to everyone outside the region and they intended to keep it that way.
The Ghost and The Busch Hunter went out and brought the aircraft back to the Tarmac. Four out of the ten AA guns had been damaged or destroyed during the raid. Seemed the bombers didn't have the necessary line of sight they needed.
Meanwhile, the prepper "Radio Jack" used 1430 WCMY to tell the Colonial States they'd survived the raid and were planning a response. They advised that ODTA stand down and say nothing, they'd noticed the West Coast was gearing up for something major, something they'd probably feel the effects of in the coming weeks, but with just speculation, they paid it little mind. The Colonial States however, began sending ODTA their nonessential personnel in the hope they'd survive should anything happen.
The ODTA Construction team had cleared away the rubble and began building housing for the incoming refugees from the Colonial States at the order of Lou-Wats. They'd also begun rebuilding Veterans Bridge, the once great bridge that connected the Downtown Area to the Southern District of Ottawa. In the Southern District, lay a vast collection of houses, waiting to be redone and plenty of supplies to contribute to the ODTA cause. Until the bridge was fixed, explorers would have to cross the dried riverbed and climb the slope up to the Southern District using the old Allen Park Sledding Hill.
For now things seemed peaceful even with an ominous tension in the air, the people of ODTA had the right idea to begin expanding their territory.
Now to the west of ODTA, was there was the small village of Naplate, there is where ODTA citizens had converted the old glass factory, Libbey Owens-Ford, into an ammunition plant. There, they manufactured all the munitions for ODTA and her Airforce. It was untouched by the recent air raid and had survived both nuclear death waves and the old glass blast furnaces were still in good working order and hadn't been damaged by time.
They'd been repurposed for the Washington Park Super Bunker or W.P.S.B for short. Since this bunker had storage for the citizens and the vehicles and aircraft they had, the furnaces were used to heat the entire building, of course they ran super hot and had a fumes ventilation shaft the deposited out by the old high school, but the engineers had made it so they ran the heat against steel water pipes that were filled with automotive coolant. The coolant would heat up and circulate heat around the building before cooling off and returning to the heat source.
ODTA had plenty of creative minds that allowed these project to come into fruition.
As time passed the first section of bridge was repaired and the first explorers crossed it, hoping to find supplies and more on the other side. As they made it across, it was like they entered the promise land
