Chapter 63: Lord Voldemort

Malfoy Manor

Inside a beautifully decorated living room, there was a young man sitting alone on a comfortable leather couch.

The man has striking features, long black hair, black eyes, and a pretty face that was currently frowning in displeasure.

"Tsk, they are late. I am going to have to punish them when they come back…And where the hell did Bella go?."

While waiting for his useless followers to come back and report their findings, He started to think about the events that led him back to the realm of the living.

—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One day, out of nowhere he just woke up. But the worst part was that He was trapped inside a diary and no matter how hard He tried, there was no way to get out.

He remembers everything about his childhood and his life at Hogwarts. While reviewing his memories, He was trying to find a reason for his confinement...then a particular memory came out.

It was one of his last conversations with the only professor He respected, Professor Slughorn. During that conversation, He mentioned Horcruxes, this seems to spook the Professor, but still anwerered his questions. Then, He wondered how many Horcruxes could He make. When He mentioned about the posibility of making seven, Proffesor Slughorn looked horrified. But he could not trust just one container to secure his soul, and seven was a magical number, and the more the made, the safer He would be.

His research proceded faster after that, and by the end of his seventh year, He was finally ready to create his first one.

All that was left was decide on the victim…and then…His memories got a bit fuzzy there.

He remembers about letting the basilisk out to kill those filthy mudbloods and hopefully get the old man fired, or maybe even killed.

He remembers thinking of how amusing it would be if Albus Dumbledore became his first Horcrux.

Then what happened?... Someone died…a girl from Ravenclaw. She was killed by the basilisk probably. It happened in the bathroom that served as a secondary entrance to the Chambers of Secrets.

He was carrying his wand in one hand and his diary in another one...His diary….

It was at that moment that He realized what must have happened. He was not trapped inside a diary. He was the diary, He was a Horcrux.

The books didn't mention anything about the soul fragments bein sentient. But then again, there was very little information about Horcruxes out there. Very few wizards dared to use their magic.

He did not know how much time has passed since his creation, He didn't even know where He was.

Everything changed one day, when, out of nowhere, there was light again. And He could see once more. Someone has finally opened the diary.

He was in a very beautifully decorated studio, He thought that it must belong to some rich pureblood wizard. That thought was immediately confirmed when He saw a familiar face.

Abraxas Malfoy was staring at Him, one of the first ones to join Him. He looks a bit older than He remembers.

"My Lord, I need your aid. I-I don't know what to do. You left me this book to keep it safe. So it must have some powerful magic in it, but how do I use it?" He could hear Malfoy speak.

He was wondering how to answer without a mouth when something ocurred to him.

He focused on making a mental connexion with Lucius and sending one order.

'WRITE!'

Lucius seem surprised for a moment when He heard something inside his mind, and now He had the sudden urge to write in the book He was holding.

"My Lord" Lucius wrote.

"Hello Abraxas" words appeared out of nowhere.

Lucius was a bit startled at first, but composed himself and continued.

"I am Lucius Malfoy, Abraxas was my father. Is it really you? My Lord? How is this possible?"

'His father?. How long has been?.' Tom thought

Tom could feel something every time Lucius wrote in the diary. He wanted Lucius to keep writing in order to find out what it was.

"It is indeed me Lucius. I am Lord Voldemort. I left a piece of myself in this diary. Tell me, what year is it?"

Lucius smiled.

'If this is the Dark lord, He can surely help me archive my revenge!'

"It's 1992 My Lord"

'Fourty-seven years…that's a long time. And the fact that He is asking a book for help must mean that the real me is not available…but He cannot be dead, that's what the Horcruxes were for.'

"I heard you before, you said that you needed my aid. What has occurred?" Tom asked

"Is my son…He…He is dead My Lord. Killed during his first year of Hogwarts. And no one is doing anything to catch the killer!" Lucious slammed his hands on the table.

"I understand your pain, Lucius. I will help you."

He didn't really, but at this point, He understood what was happening. The more Lucius wrote in the diary, the better He felt.

He was taking something away from Lucius with every word He wrote in the diary. He still wasn't sure exactly what it was, but He knew one thing. It was good for Him.

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weeks passed, and then months. Lucius would write in the diary almost every day. And the more He did, the stronger Tom felt.

He knew that eventually if things kept going this way, He would be able to use Lucius to resurrect himself.

One day, Lucius came to him, extremely frustrated, aparently, the Ministry decided to drop the investigation on his son's death and declare it and accident. The Minister also refused to arrest Dumbledore without solid evidence, much to Lucius displeasure.

"If the Ministry does nothing. Then You do it!"

He was getting tired of hearing Lucius complain about the same things over and over.

However, Tom came to regret that advice. He didn't anticipate that the idiotic Lucius would directly attack and try to murder Albus Dumbledore during a board meeting.

Lucius failed miserably, of course, He also lost his job and spent a week in prison until his wife managed to get Him out by paying a huge sum of galleons.

That has been a very risky move. If Lucius ended up dead or thrown in Azkaban for the rest of his life, then his whole plan would go to the gutter.

And who knows how long it would take before someone else started to write in the diary again? He cannot take more risks. He needs to take over Lucius as soon as possible.

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Lucius came back home, He was a wreck.

The man has always taken care of his looks, but now He looked dirty, haggard, and even more deranged than before. The diary may be partly to blame for the last part.

During their next interaction, Tom decided to make a move.

"Lucius, I know of a ritual that can help you."

"Help me how? My Lord."

"This ritual would imbue you with my power and knowledge. With this, making your enemies pay would be easy to acomplish." Tom said.

Lucius' eyes opened wide, and He started to laugh maniacally.

"Yes! YES!. I'LL MAKE THEM ALL PAY!" Lucius yelled.

After calming down a bit, Lucius sat back down and wrote.

"Tell me about this ritual My Lord"

Tom would have smiled if He could. He then proceeded to name all of the ingredients needed. There were some very rare ones like nymph and basilisk blood.

Lucius read the ingredients with care.

"I have everything in the list except for the basilisk blood, but I know where to get that. I'll have everything ready for tomorrow, My Lord"

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lucius entered his secret basement while carrying the diary.

A complex magical circle has been drawn using the blood of a nymph for the exterior circle and basilisk blood for the interior one.

Other ingredients were placed at specific spots of the circle.

Lucius placed the diary on a table and opened it. There was one step He had to perform before the ritual, according to his Lord.

"Everything is ready my lord." Lucius looked very tired.

"For this next step, I need you to lower your mind shields and place your hand on the pages of the book."

If Lucius was in the right state of mind, maybe He would have hesitated. But a combination of his blind trust in his Lord and his deranged state of mind, made him follow the orders without a second thought.

The moment Lucius placed his hand on the book, He felt that something was wrong, but it was already too late.

A flash of light appeared and Lucius was sent flying back against the wall.

He grunted in pain and stood up with difficulty. He then started to examine himself, and finally, He smiled.

"It worked." Tom, who was now occupying the body of Lucius Malfoy smiled brightly.

"I missed having a body!" Tom kept moving 'his' body around, his hands, his legs. He looked like a child with a new toy.

"Now now… let's calm down. I have one more thing to do now." Tom looked towards the magical circle that Lucius had carefully drawn.

Although He has taken over Lucius' body, Tom knew that this was only a temporary solution. Maybe if his soul was complete, it would be different. But with only a small fragment, permanent possession of an adult wizard would be too difficult. Maybe if the target was a child it would be a possibility.

But it didn't matter, once He completed the ritual, He would take over Lucius' body and soul completely.

He made some last-minute changes to the setup.

He wanted to modify his body looks and take the appearance that He was used to. It wouldn't really make his body younger, but He would still look like he did back in during his Hogwarts years.

Tom then proceeded to sit down in the center of the circle and chanted words in old Gaelic.

The circle started to shine in red light, the other ingredients seem to turn into smoke and made their way inside Tom's orifices.

Toms seem to be in a great deal of pain, but He did not stop his chanting.

After five minutes of this, the circle started to dissolve and Tom waited in silence.

"Arggg!" Tom grabbed his head in pain. It felt like someone was stabbing needles in his brain.

Images started to flow in his mind. Memories of Lucius Maloy. Everything since his childhood, his days at Hogwarts, his marriage, his son, and everything else until the current day.

Tom collapsed to the floor in relief after the pain subsided.

He examined himself once more and immediately knew that everything was different now.

This was no longer a possession. This body was HIS.

He walked to a nearby mirror and looked at himself.

Tom looked exactly like He did during his seventh year of Hogwarts, with the only exception of his hair. It was long and straight like Lucius was, but at least it was black now.

Tom started laughing.

"I'M BACK!"
