Chapter 7 - Chapter 6

There was a function happening at a school. The school was having a night color run with the parents and their children. The teachers were the judges to see which person had most of the colors. Everyone was standing on the field, waiting for the Principal. While they were waiting, they were having conversations. The parents were talking to the other parents. They were basically talking about work and life. The students were talking about school and sports. Some of them were also telling the others about what careers they wanted to do. The Principal arrived at the ground with a mic in his hand. He coughed to grab everyone's attention. The guests and students stopped talking. Now they were looking at the Principal.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to our night color run. It has been a while since our school hosted a fun event. There is one rule. Whoever gets the most colors on them will win a prize. I want all of you to put yourself into teams of fifty. I will give you ten minutes to decide on your team. Your time starts now.", the Principal pressed the timer button.

Everyone was scrambling to choose their teams. The teachers were laughing at them in a good way. The students were deciding to stay in their own group. There were four hundred students. Everyone was still scrambling about. Suddenly, there were so many screams heard from the grounds. The Principal and teachers were hearing the screams. The Principal tried to sense the screams but there were too many. The teachers were looking at the crowd. They wanted to see what was going on. Screaming was still heard from the grounds. The teachers were becoming really anxious. The security guards came to see the situation. Before they could pull out their guns, the screaming stopped. Now everyone was completely frozen for a minute.

The Principal and teachers were looking at the ground. There were only men and boys standing while looking for the women. All the women and girls were no way to be seen. The Principal looked at the teachers. All the female teachers were not there either. He had a bad feeling about this. The husbands and fathers were looking for their wives and daughters. They were even screaming for them. Some of them started crying while calling. The Principal could hear the cries. One security guard came forward to the Principal.

"Mr. Xiao, we need to let Samantha Lau know about this. I also suspect that this situation had to do with...", he stopped for a moment. "You know what I mean."

Mr. Xiao looked at the guard. "I want you to ask these men to write down the names of their wives and daughters. Then I will let Miss Lau know about this. She can file missing people on social media.", he instructed the guard.

"Yes sir.", the guard bowed to Mr. Xiao's instructions.

The guard left to do his duties. Mr. Xiao was about to tear up because his daughter and wife had just gone missing in front of his eyes. He was about to tear up. Some teachers went to calm the guests while one teacher kept Mr. Xiao company. Mr Xiao knew that this was a target case and he knew who did this. But he did not want to mention the name because it would make him more upset.
