Aunty May decided to pay us a surprise visit and I was more than happy to see her. Aunty May is my Dad's sister and my favourite aunt.
She opened her arms when she saw me staring at her with a smile. " Are you just going to stand there or come hug your favorite aunt."
I ran to her and gave her a big hug. "Aunty May." I shouted happily.
"Hello Carly." She said and wrapped her arms around me hugging me tight. " Oh.. how i miss you."
"I miss you more." I mumbled inhaling her warm scent.
"Where is everybody?" She asked looking around.
"Dad is at his company, Freddi went to his friends house and Mum is in the kitchen." I said and bend down to carry her bags.
"Thanks Hun." She said." Clara." She yelled, Calling Mum.
I let out a soft chuckle, aunty May can be dramatic.
Mum ran into the parlour panting heavily, a glare on her face. " I am about to beat whoev...." She stopped mid sentence when she saw Aunt May standing beside me with a toothy grin on her face. " May." She called happily going to her, her face flushed.
"Clara." Aunty May replied going to her.
They met mid way, eveloping themselves in a tight hug.
" So good to see you." Mum said cheerfully. "Perfect timing. I made beef stew."
"Hmmm." Aunty May hummed in delight. "My favourite." She said and licked her lips before following Mum to the kitchen.
I quickly excuse myself and went upstairs, her bag in hand. I kept her bags at the room close to mine also known as the guest room before i made my way to my room.
Dressed and ready. At exactly seven I stood staring at the beautiful Neon lights of the Diner, I was thrown back to the memory of when I was a Kid.
FLASHBACK
"Mum" my Four years old self yelled coming down stairs.
My Mum shook her head and let out a soft chuckle. " Be Careful sweatheart." She scolded but then let out a loud laugh when she saw what I was putting on.
I smiled cutely before swirling. " How do i look?"
"Mum .. i am hungry." Charlotte called out in a singsong voice.
"You look good, sweetheart." Mum said facing me. "Go in there, and eat your meal you food monger." she teased turning to Charlotte.
I chuckled following closely behind Charlotte.
"How about we take a stroll out?" Charlotte suggested as we walked to the kitchen.
"A stroll? I thought you said you're hungry just now." I said with a pout.
"Yea, but we can eat it later. I really want us to go out and have fun, huh? Please Mum." Charlotte said and pecked my cheek before looking up at Mum with puppy eyes..
"Luckily, I brought my credit card." Mum said. "So are you in?" Mum asked looking at me.
"Cool." I said giggling.
Charlotte smiled.
We arrived at a cute dinner with Neon light. I let out a giggle when I saw the lights and stood staring,my mouth wide open.
"Stop staring." Charlotte said beside me with a soft chuckle. "Let's go inside." She said and held her hand out.
I gave a nod before grabbing her hand,my little chubby finger squeezing tightly. Mum smiled and brought out her phone taking pictures of us. " My two cute darlings." She gushed.
"Mum..." Charlotte whined. " Stop embarrassing us." She said and use her free hand to cover her face.
Mum and some of the bystander coo at us. I was having fun, but Charlotte hurriedly dragged me inside,pass Mum to a table at the end.
"You're the one who suggested we go out." I reminded her with a smile.
"And now i am regretting it." She said and exhaled sharply.
Mum walked in with a smile and sat down beside me facing Charlotte.
"What?" Charlotte asked after some silence.
Mum just shrugged her shoulder saying nothing and turn to me with a pinch to my cheek.
The waitress walked over to our table. "Good day. What can i get you guys?" She asked.
"I will have the french fries thank you." Mum said before looking at Charlotte.
"Waffles and scrambled eggs." Charlotte said with a smile.
"Pancake with strawberry syrup." I yelled happily.
The waitress smiled. " Be right back."
I shook my head, bringing my self to the present just as a red Ferrari stopped beside me. Tiana dressed in a red flannel shirt and jean trouser came down from the driver's seat and Zina who was putting on a pink tank top with black trouser got down from the passenger seat. They both walked towards me leaning in for a group hug.
"Wow... You guys look beautiful." I said admiring their dress up.
"So do you." They chipped in unison.
"Come on guys." Tiana said and move away from the hug. " Lets go in."
We made our way inside. Bella saw us and waved happily while we went to our usual table.
Bella walked over to our table. "You guys are back." She said with a smile.
"We did promise to come regularly." Tiana said.
"And we also promise to be up in your business." I said with a smile.
Bella laughed,her hands on her stomach. She cleared her throat. "So.... What can i get you guys?" She asked,a grin on her face.
I stared at Tiana and Zina,not knowing what to order. They stared back at me with the same look on their face.
"Why don't you just surprise us." Tiana said looking at Bella.
"I sure will." Bella said then gave a short cutesy before she turned and left.
"So... How was your date?" Tiana asked,her hands on her jaw, while Zina leaned closer.
My mouth hung in shock, my eyes as wide as a saucer as i stared at her. "How....d..id you... Know?" I stammered in shock.
Tiana leaned closer staring at me, her eyes wide open. "Wait .. what?" She asked. " You really went on a date?"
"Wait... You did not know?" I asked, my mouth making an "O" sound.
"No. But now i do." She replied.
Zina stared at the both of us. " What date? Please i need to hear the gist." She said smiling.
"Why did you asked if you did not know?" I asked Tiana still trying to comprehend how just suddenly asked that question.
Tiana tissed." When you ran away immediately lecture ended on Friday. I knew something was going on." Tiana said with a grin. "That wasn't what got me suspicious. It was the fact that you smiled at a text before running out."
"Damn!" I exclaimed.
"So... Tell me." Tiana and Zina said in unison.
After much probing ,I decide to tell them about the "date." But not who I went on the date with.
"Wow.... You won a child size teddy?" Tisna asked amazed.
"And you also hit the bulls eyes with your last arrow." Zina stated in shock. "Colour me impress."
Bella came back with our food. "Enjoy." She said and left.
We immediately dig into the mouth watering delicacy in front of us. Gist some more before bidding ourselves good night.
I got home immediately to see Aunty May and Mum laughing among themselves.
"You're back." Mum said when she saw me.
"Yes." I said and plopped down into the cushion with a heavy sign.
"Dinner is in the kitchen." Mum said.
"Thanks Mum." I said but made no move of standing but instead leaned more into the cushion.
The door bell rang, standing up on my feet with a groan,i head towards the door.
I opened the door to see Zina.
