"Sit down, son," said Mr. Al-Ghifary, inviting his guests as soon as they arrived in the living room. The man nodded politely in response and sat down immediately followed by the others.
"Son, introduce them are Anna's parents and her two siblings, this is the first time you two have met, so far they only know about you from what I say," said Zakaria, opening the conversation, with a polite gesture he introduced them.
"And they are both the mother and sister of the deceased," he continued. He introduced Maira and Fania, who had never met this man.
The man looked at all of Anna's family members who were introduced to him, and he politely stood back up and bowed slightly to salute the elder.
Then straightforwardly and without hesitation he introduced himself in front of the whole family.
"I am Muhammad Ali Sebastian Az-Zachary. I am the recipient of a heart donor from your son, as you know if I have received the mandate from him to marry Annaya Nur Kamila Al-Ghifary and guarantee her life well, I accept the mandate and will fulfill it. Arrival me today to formally propose to her."
Without a doubt, Sebastian looked steadily at Mr. Wijaya as Anna's biological father who would become his father-in-law.
They all judged that this man, apart from having a charming physical shape and appearance, also had a personality with a strong character, it could be seen from the way he looked, spoke and his attitude towards the interlocutor, all looked dashing like an unshakable king.
Mr. Wijaya and the others were amazed by what was in this man and they were also sure that this man would keep all his words according to the promise he had made today.
"Sorry if I interrupt, isn't it too soon?" Ammar's voice interrupts.
"The sooner the better," someone interrupted.
They all turned simultaneously towards the source of the voice, Anna walked towards them with a straight face, expressionless. The whole family was shocked by her.
Anna was wearing a black dress which was very unsuitable for this meeting, but she didn't care. To her this was a meeting to determine the day of her death, so she should have dressed in mourning clothes. That's what she thought.
"Anna, I thought you were resting," said Ammar softly as Anna sat on his right side. Ammar noticed Anna's indifferent gaze.
"How can I rest if you are currently deciding about my survival and death," she replied coldly to Ammar but her gaze was on the man who was right in front of him at this time.
Sebastian was not at all disturbed by Anna's sarcasm and sharp gaze, with graceful movements he drank the hot tea that was served to him.
"Anna, don't talk like that, you know this very well," said Wijaya.
He knew his daughter was blaming Sebastian for what happened. Anger and hate make Anna turn a blind eye to all the truth.
"Of course, Anna knows it well, so hurry up," replied Anna, looking at her father flatly.
Wijaya could see that there was no longer a spoiled look and a cheerful voice from his daughter, and it made his heart ache.
"Okay, if you're ready," said Wijaya, looking at his daughter resignedly. Anna, who heard the word 'ready', smiled cynically.
'Aren't you all very ready to welcome a new family member.' The pout in her heart.
"He already has a healthy heart, and now wants me to be his wife, isn't that too greedy?" Sarcasm Anna with her cynical gaze looked at Sebastian.
Sebastian who heard that didn't react in the slightest bit, he returned Anna's gaze with an indescribable look.
Smith who had been standing by Sebastian's side was very surprised to hear what Anna said, no one had ever dared to say such rude words to his boss and he also saluted his boss who was not provoked at all by what this 'prospective mistress' said.
"ANNA!" snapped Mr. Wijaya.
He didn't like his daughter's attitude that had gone too far, in his life he had never raised his voice for his sons and daughters, but this time Anna had crossed the line.
"It seems that my family likes you, sir, for the first time in my life, I was scolded by my father and it's all because of you," Anna pouted quietly, ignoring her father's high voice.
Anna's heart ached to hear the screams added by the angry and disappointed look of her father but, with all her might she refrained from crying, especially in front of strangers.
All of them who witnessed Wijaya yelling at Anna were very surprised because Wijaya was a gentle and patient person, always trying to be wise in dealing with anything, but this time he lost control of his favorite child.
Even the parents of the late Fateh couldn't do anything, because this was a father-and-daughter affair, they only hoped that Wijaya could control himself.
Lusi, who saw the anger on her husband's face, quickly stroked the back of Wijaya's hand affectionately so that her husband could control his emotions, no one knew but himself if Wijaya was angry it would be very difficult to deal with, and he didn't want his little daughter to feel that anger.
"Anna, how many times have we explained it to you? This all happened against our will, don't because anger and hatred make you change like this, please understand," said Wijaya tiredly with a calm face.
He was very sorry that he had lost control of his beloved daughter, but Anna had gone too far.
"Then what should Anna do? Accept it voluntarily, is that so? If you think Anna is not sincere about Fateh's departure, you are wrong," Anna whispered, "Anna admits that her departure made Anna lose her way, made Anna's life spin quickly and crashed into a bottomless valley until Anna could not prepare herself, but Anna realized that this life did not belong to humans, Anna did not forget the religious values that her father and mother taught. You all want to know what Anna can't accept?" she continued at length.
With panting breaths and trembling voices holding back tears, Anna looked sadly at her first love father, and looked at one by one the family she loved with all her body and soul, but now it seemed as if all the love was just pseudo, this was very stifling but, she would not looks weak again.
"MY HUSBAND'S HEART IS THUNDERING IN HIS BODY!" Anna shouted, pointing at Sebastian with a smoldering stare, her chest rising and falling.
Her smooth white face turned bright red from overflowing emotions, but Sebastian didn't react at all to Anna's gaze and what she said. No one could guess what he was thinking when he received such treatment from Anna.
Ammar who was very surprised to see Anna like this rushed to pull Anna into his arms, his sister is currently completely out of control and he must take a stance to calm her down.
Ammar looked at his father with pleading eyes not to continue this discussion and also he looked at Sebastian while muttering an apology for Anna's actions. Sebastian just nodded slightly in response.
"Calm down, honey," said Lusi who now took over Anna from her son's arms. Alya who saw that also immediately rushed into her mother's arms.
"Whatever you say will not change what I have decided." Sebastian's cold voice broke the silence after Anna's emotional scream.
Sebastian said those words right into Anna's eyes, who couldn't stop staring at her full of emotion. Anna could only laugh sadly in her mother's arms, she had no intention of replying to those words.
"I have to go," he said politely to Mr. Wijaya and the others. He had only come to convey his intentions, there was no reason for him to stay any longer.
"I hope you understand her current condition," replied Mr. Wijaya with a warm gaze typical of a father and patted the sturdy shoulder lightly.
"I see." After saying that he got up and walked away following Smith.
Lusi and Alya accompanied Anna who was now sitting with blank stares while the family members escorted Sebastian away.
They all could only sigh tired of what had happened to Anna and Sebastian.
'Will a relationship that started with pain end well?'
"Anna, papa is disappointed," said Wijaya as soon as he entered the house.
"Then Anna is disappointed, who wants to be responsible? From the beginning Anna has refused the transplant," she asked accompanied by a statement in a hoarse voice looking at all his family members.
"Dad," answered the father-in-law at last. Anna turned and looked closely at her father-in-law whom she loved so much.
"Fateh has given the power to allow his heart to be donated to Sebastian," he explained to his beloved son-in-law. Hearing that, Anna laughed sadly.
"I just want him to go painless again, without having to split the body and take his heart, is that too hard for you guys?" he asked desperately, looking at his whole family.
"Even you guys tricked me," she mumbled again as he closed her eyes and recalled what happened that day. The day she lost Fateh forever.
"You told me to go home to rest, and said that Mama wanted to spend time alone with Fateh that night, and I stupidly believed it," she whispered blankly, "but that night was the last day I saw my husband's face, because the next day I saw his body, without the heart either." Anna's bitter smile and despair at remembering her stupidity.
Everyone who heard Anna's hoarse voice silently cried, even Fitra's eyes were wet. The man who looked strong and tough was finally melted by Anna's voice which sounded heartbreaking.
"Anna, don't be like this, everything has worked out. From the beginning Fateh was diagnosed with an illness, the accident that put him in a coma, and also the heart transplant, everything has become God's scenario for us to live, dear," said Mr. Zakaria softly, "try to see mama. What mother would be willing to let her child leave so quickly in such a way? Look at Fania and Fitra, they were born from the same womb as Fateh, share the same milk, and grew up in the same place, do you think they are ready?" continued Mr. Zakaria at length to his son-in-law.
He had to open Anna's eyes so that he could see further even though it was difficult, he approached Anna who was looking straight at him, then he grabbed Anna's hand and gripped the tiny hand tightly and said, "Look, dad, honey. If you can, a dad who wants to replace everything that is experienced by Fateh, a father's favorite child, if possible, a father who wants to donate his father's heart, no parent wants to see their child suffer dear. But everything that happens is beyond our control as humans. We can only follow the path that God has set to provide, if you continue like this, Fateh will be in trouble there, because all this is a mandate from him," he said giving understanding to Anna.
Anna felt that if her father-in-law hugged her, she couldn't think of anything other than Fateh which kept spinning in her brain.
Anna realized what her mother-in-law said was all true, but his heart could not match his thoughts, all because of great disappointment.
