Chapter 28 - Meeting

Packing up some of the cake in different insulated boxes they were sent out for delivery. Including the one sent out to Dstar65 he sent some to Gio and Demetrius with a note.

He also packed some to take to Ciro at a later time and put aside some for himself for later.

After that was done, Juniper went back to check on the pheremone match database, Juniper thought of Ciro's comments and looked at contacting the person with the highest match rate.

Looking at the photo on the match Juniper felt a bit familiar but he wasnt too sure where, he chewed over the name 'Yong-Jin' but couldnt think of anyone he knew of this name. Juniper accepted the match and there was a message that popped up, it looks to have been a message sent awhile ago from Yong-Jin.

Juniper read through the message, it was a bit strange as it started with an apology and that he understood if Juniper would not want to meet. Juniper pondered on what he should do and decided he should go ahead and meet him after all, he wasnt sure what this person was apologising for and it may be better to see them in person.

Juniper made contact with Yong-Jin and arranged a place and time to meet. It was set for tomorrow. Juniper was a little nervous about meeting someone like this, but he wanted to find out who this person was.

Juniper tried to get some sleep for tonight, but it wasn't easy; he tossed and turned all night long. Finally, Juniper gave up and got up early and headed towards the meeting spot he arrived before the appointed time, entering the building he was drawn to the man sitting futher in the corner he could just see the side of his face from the back, Yong-Jin was already inside sitting at the table. Juniper was suprised that he came so early and trotted over and sat down opposite him, Yong-Jin did not look at him but seemed deep in thought.

"Hello Yong-Jin? Im Juniper" Juniper said quietly.

Yong-Jin came back from his thoughts and he nodded briefly and invited Juniper so sit opposite, he had already ordered coffee for two.

Yong-Jin took a sip of coffee and paused before asking, "I assume you do not recognise me, it was rather dark though so I dont blame you.''

Juniper tilted his head, his eyes holding puzzlement.

"I met you back in the market,.. Im sorry for that time I was looking for someone else but I took you as suspicious'' Yong-Jin explained

Juniper came to realisation that this was the man he met in the alleyway, his eyes widened and he took a closer look and now looking at it his profile was very similar. Although shocked he tried to regain calm, this person had apologised and more than once so he didnt seem like a bad person.

"....no harm done, I was pretty confused at that time but Im glad that we have cleared things up.'' Juniper replied before continuing ''Are you a type of detective?''

"Something of the sort, I work as an intelligence officer.'' Yong-Jin introduced himself.

Juniper's brows furrowed for a moment when he heard this. Intelligence officers were often called spies, usually because they are. "What exactly do you investigate?" He asked curiously.

Yong-Jin chuckled slightly before he answered ''I think that sort of thing is classified don't you think?''

Juniper blinked a few times and then smiled embarassingly "That, I guess you're right...." He muttered.

Yong-Jin looked at Juniper then he lowered his eyes and took another sip of coffee.

As Yong-Jin sipped his drink he became aware of Junipers gaze and returned it immediately. The two stared at each other for several seconds until Juniper finally broke eye contact.

"Well, you answered the first thing i was curious about um.. I originally accepted the Pheremone match because of our percentage degree'' Juniper asked, what he really wanted to ask if is Yong-Jin had only accepted the match because he wanted to apologies for that time when he noticed it was him.

"...I admit I had no idea who you were or where you lived, I needed to apologise again..." Yong-Jin replied.

Juniper shook his head. "No... No need to worry about that... you were doing your job.''

''..It is also true that I was surpised we would meet under these circumstances, but I have been thinking about it since last night that perhaps our encounter was quite fated.'' Yong-Jin admitted.

Juniper raised an eyebrow at this, "So fate brought us together?"

Yong-Jin made a faint smile ''I suppose it did, so let's make use of it, shall we?''

Juniper "You know.., we haven't actually talked much yet."

Yong-Jin chuckled. He stood up and offered out his hand and said, "Shall we take this one step at a time and see where it goes?"

Juniper stared at Yong-Jins hand, feeling the warmth and texture of it. His cheeks flushed a little, before taking Yong-Jin's hand and rising from his seat. As the two walked side by side and talked, Juniper glanced at Yong-Jin every so often, trying hard not to stare.

Yong-Jin noticed Junipers attention. "Is something wrong?"

Juniper nodded. "Yes, I just.. you don't seem to be as cold as i thought you were." Not to mention he felt like Yong-Jin was actually a romantic at heart.

Yong-Jin chuckled softly. "Perhaps my exterior is slightly intimidating but it helps in my line of work.''
