Chapter 3 - The sun must have risen from the west

Hei Anying left his grandfather's pavilion in a bad mood. along the way to his room, he caught a scene of his beloved mother scolding one of the elders who kept pressurizing his family members for a hand in marriage.

" oh help....". he mumbled trying to take another route in other to avoid his mother spotting him.

not that they had a feud no. he didn't want her to ' spank ' his old man for putting him in a bad mood because the old man was also being pressurized too.

but he hadn't taken three escape steps yet when he heard his mother's voice.

" Anying!". she called and hurried footsteps followed.

' oh crap '.

he fixed his expression into a sunny one and turned around to find his mother almost close to him. she looked stunning as always, long raven hair which he inherited, red lips and a slim figure.

if not because she had the mark of a mother on her forehead everyone would think she was a virgin. considering how holy the aura around her was.

please don't misquote. she only shows her innocent side to her son and loved ones, then becomes a tigress when you intend to hurt them.

right now she had that look of a detective on her face trying to search anying's face if he was okay making the youth nervous.

after seeing nothing was wrong she pulled him into a hug and asked softly

" where are you coming from Ah'ying ?".

he smiled and replied jovially " from the pavilion of serene Harmony".

he felt his mother's body go stiff Before she quickly masked it and pulled away from the hug.

the she asked again " would you like to eat anything ". trying to force a smile on.

a frown finally made it's way to anying's face. his mother only fakes when she was hiding something. what was it?. if it was before when she hears that he got summoned to meet his grandfather, she would drag him there and help revoke or reduce the weight of responsibilities given.

but now she was acting like this.. wasn't something fishy?.

"mom. what's wrong?". he asked and watched her swallow before replying with a nervous laugh.

"nothing. I'll make you dessert come with me".

she dragged his hands and they began walking. the expression he saw earlier actually disappeared like it never was there.hm, he inherited the facading from her but

what where they hiding?. even his grandpa was acting strange by saying he must marry two people for responsibility.

he was so in thoughts with his small face sweating a little that he didn't realize when his mother brought him to the general garden.

" sit Anying I'll go make desserts for you!".

then she ran off before Anying could say anything. she was so fired up about making desserts.

" young Lord" he heard Liu feng greet while still in thoughts and he turned his head to look at the silent beauty bowing beside him lost in thoughts.

" Liu feng.. how are you?" he was even surprised the beauty who chooses to be mute decided to utter two words.

did the sun rise from the west today?.

Liu feng nodded in a yes motion and stood back straight. he was ying's aide since young even from the upper realms.

straight light brown hair, pink lips and matching orbs with a delicate curve. he had that cold stay away aura that didn't fit him at all.

he was the god of silence. fair.

Anying sighed and patted the silent beauty, they were of the same height and very close but the mute just chooses to treat him like a sovereign.

" I told you times without number to call me Anying or Ah'ying but you don't".

"..."

Anying sighed, wondering whether the beauty had any emotions other than the usual blank one.

" sir ying ". said Liu feng in a neutral tone

" ah? . I was expecting my response tomorrow". literally. because the youth had a way of having words limit in 24 hours.

a light blush appeared on feng's cheeks but his expression stayed blank.

Anying sat back down and gestured feng to sit beside him and thankfully the male did.

Anying sighed again. he had a lot on his mind right now. didn't want to marry.

wanted freedom. thinking of an escape route, wondering i--

" Ah'ying ~...". someone interupted his thoughts.

Ru lan. his stepbrother who changed his surname because he fell in love with his own brother. stupidity ran deep in the family's bloodline.

Anying sighed again.' incoming headache '.

and just as he finished thinking this, the gold headed male arrived in front of him and took his hand to kiss it gently after kneeling on one knee.

then he said thoughtfully " why don't we run away together? I promise to give you freedom. ". raising a suggestive brow.
