There was suddenly a pin-drop silence and all the journalist and reporters looked on in reverence.
"What do you guys want?" Alpha Azrael suddenly asked as he looked across the eager faces.
A reporter from DTV was the first to talk.
"We were sent by the werewolf council of Elders to interview you with respect to the upcoming werewolf competition/ ranking match which decides the best and strongest Alpha out there, including betas and werewolves generally."
"We were informed that you single-handedly killed an immortal and are sent here by the Council of Elders to evaluate your abilities to record it within the information chart for Alphas..."
"We also heard you've recently killed an immortal werewolf 2 days ago..." The Reporter spoke none stop.
Azrael looked at her in shock.
At this time, April spoke up. "How will you just come here and open that big mouth of yours and start spurting unfounded allegations? How sure are you about those things? So the council of Elders tells you that fire is green and the next thing you do is ask how green without being sure...?" As soon as April finished speaking, the other 30 humans who has also followed her outside started laughing.
The reporters were shocked but for a different reason. They were surprised to find humans in the pack.
"She is a human and she even claimed to be your sister...?! one of the reporters from DTV was quick to point that out.
"Are you now siding with the humans? Or is this another side to you that we are not aware of?"
"Alpha Azrael, normally humans are not allowed in werewolf territories, most times, they are usually killed, so why are there this many humans beside you, and one even claims to be your sister? Were you formerly one of those humans who converted to a werewolf and now is doing the same to other humans..."
The reporters kept interrogating Alpha Azrael without giving him a chance to even talk.
At this time, Alpha Azrael suddenly grabbed a reporter who was close by and speaking rapidly by the throat and applied a little pressure.
The reporter couldn't breathe properly and started struggling to break free. His eyes went red and his face was flushed.
Veins were visible on his forehead as he struggled to breathe.
"Do you have any more questions..." Alpha Azrael asked as he tightened his grip on the throat of the reporter.
The reporter managed to shake his head to signify his 'No' response while his eyes pleaded for mercy.
'These stupid council of Elders, they want to gauge my strength and since they couldn't come here themselves they decided to send these puppets. Don't worry I will be coming for all of you, just be patient, it's still 1 month and two weeks left...' Alpha Azrael pondered in his mind as he held the reporter's throat tightly.
Alpha Azrael suddenly threw him like a rag doll and he looked menacingly at the other reporters. The reporters all took a couple of steps back, learning from the misfortune of one.
"Henceforth, none of you is allowed here, in my pack. If I find any of you, I will kill you and anyone who accompanies you.." Alpha Azrael roared.
At this point, he turned to beta Londan, "Why did you let them in, aren't you the one in charge of entry and exit?..." He asked angrily.
"They were from the council of Elders, that was why I couldn't stop them, my lord. I didn't also want to, in any way, make you look bad my lord." Beta Londan Grey explained as he looked guiltily at the Alpha.
Alpha Azrael was still not satisfied. "Henceforth, even if they come from the werewolf king himself, no one is allowed in my pack until they have my permission... is that taken...?" Alpha Azrael barked.
"Yes my lord..." Beta Londan replied.
Alpha Azrael then turned to the 30 humans after settling the issue with the reporters who had taken to their heels and left the pack.
"Since you all requested your freedom, I grant it. You're all free to leave. And as many as want to stay, you are welcome.." Alpha Azrael finally gave his response to the 30 humans.
They couldn't contain their joy. They bounced around with a bubbly ebullience and unbridled enthusiasm.
At this point, Beta Londan couldn't help but interject. "My Lord, are you sure you want to do this? They know very much about our secret and if they were allowed to go and then they indeed went ahead and revealed the secret, I can assure you that within a year we will be the most haunted race on earth. If eventually, word got out, then it might be room for trouble, enemies, and curious fools..."
Alpha Azrael stood silently and listened to his beta, After which he decided to respond. "If the world eventually finds out which they would, and they get to know that we exist, then, we will deal with them when the time comes, but as of now, they are free men."
The humans looked at Alpha Azrael in adoration and respect.
They couldn't believe their eyes, nor could they be any less happy.
As a matter of irony or maybe of an unbelievable twist, the woman who was leading the human group suddenly spoke up.
"My Lord, we thank you for this grace of getting our freedom, it has been everything we wanted. You even went as far as risking it all just to ensure we are free. We would never forget this gesture. In fact, we've all decided to stay and serve the pack as members of the pack. We would even offer to be given the werewolf bite if possible but our loyalty, belief, and trust rest with you..." Her voice was charismatic and tender and it seemed to echo the decision of every other human in sight.
Alpha Azrael was even more confused. "So let me get this straight...You just asked for your freedom which you've sought, for years and now that you have it, you suddenly want to give it up again...?" Alpha Azrael asked the woman and also looked at the remaining humans.
"Not exactly... but yes" The woman responded....
"You humans are weird..." Alpha Azrael commented before walking away and shaking his head.
