Alex was looking around the ceremonial hall she was in as she followed Alpha Zuck around.
He was showing her where he hopes to hold their wedding.
Alex was a prisoner of some sort and her lover was far away in an unknown place. She couldn't tell what his present circumstance was and she worries a lot of time about him.
Alex had lost Azrael once before in the other world that they just escaped from, now in the real world she has lost him again, and she felt terrible.
She was just following the Alpha around like a lifeless doll, her mind was completely elsewhere.
"Do you like this dress my queen?" Alpha Zuck asked as he raised a white shining flamboyant lace with pearls arranged around the waist of the cloth, it glittered brilliantly all around as it was exposed to the daylight.
Alex was lost in thought so she didn't hear the question that Alpha Zuck asked.
Alpha Zuck had to shout again, "Do you like this cloth my queeennn!!!"
This time Alex was shaken out of her thoughts.
"I...I.... " She didn't know what to say as her eyes came to focus on the cloth dangled in front of her.
"It looks great" Alex replied half-heartedly after retaining her composure.
Alpha Zuck looked at her again while mentally processing her current behavior.
After watching for a few seconds, he could deduce the reason for her absent-mindedness.
"You miss him, don't you...? He is probably dead by now, if he hadn't tried to face me, I might have spared him.. enough of sulking over a dead guy, focus on the marriage or you will lose your life too..." Alpha Zuck spoke with a frown as his face contorted in various angles.
Alex shivered a bit as she thought in her mind, 'You're not the first to conclude that my lover was dead and the last guy met a terrible fate, you have no idea what my lover would do to you when he comes for me!' Alex thought while trying to mask her disdain with feigned fear.
Alpha Zuck saw the way Alex looked pale and shivered like she was terrified of what he said. He smiled inwardly, thinking he had successfully intimidated Alex, only if he knew that Alex was busy playacting.
Alpha Zuck had his hands behind his back as he walked forward. Alex also followed him.
They walked into a bigger hall.
Alpha Zuck had the place completely redesigned and decorated. Everywhere was glittering with bright lights and shining decorations, one would need to blink a few times to adjust to the brightness of the room.
It was a beautiful setting with so many people moving around to do one or two things.
Alpha Zuck wants to marry Alex as soon as possible and use her as his lethal weapon against the other werewolves.
He hoped to start the war to rule and claim the title of the werewolf king on time. One way of doing that was obtaining the power of the Kannais.
Through marriage, the Kannais would be bound to him and he could use her blood to break the curse on those werewolves under his rule-making them more of normal and much weaker.
He would however retain his immortal state while losing the side effect of the curse.
His plan to get married to the Kannais would see the side effect cleansed off while he retains the immortality which was his plan all along.
Alex was powerless to resist the Alpha, all she could do is give in to his demands to a reasonable extent while hoping that someday her lover would come over and save her.
She could still for some weird reason feel that Azrael was very much alive and this promoted her to believe that if he was alive then he could come and save her.
She was lost in thought when a small girl ran into her and fell.
The girl had her butt on the ground while she tried to get up. She for some reason didn't cry but felt pains.
"Sorry..." Alex said as she reached out to her.
Alpha Zuck looked at the girl and frowned. "Guards, capture that girl..." The Alpha shouted not wanting to take action himself.
Alex went to hug the little girl and shield her. "Why would you want to capture her, she didn't do anything wrong..." Alex defended the girl while frowning at Alpha Zuck.
"I am Alpha Zuck Danesworth, I take orders from no one" Alpha Zuck roared.
Alex shook. She was truly frightened this time. She couldn't fake it even if she wanted to.
She had never seen this side of him. Alex moved back in fear.
The guards captured the little girl and brought her to Alpha Zuck.
Alpha Zuck looked at her left hand and her leg. He raised his huge hand and claws materialized out of it.
He slammed the claw against the left hand and left leg of the girl, making her handicapped instantly.
Her left hand was on the ground limp, and also her left leg.
The little girl screamed in pain from being turned into an invalid in the space of a few minutes for a crime that doesn't even make sense.
She was bleeding out as she cried out.
"Take her to the infirmary..." Alex shouted unable to bear the sight.
The two guards hesitated and looked at the Alpha in case he had a contrary opinion, but when they saw that he didn't respond, they carried the little girl and her separated limbs to the infirmary.
'Monster' was the word that came to Alex Bayly's head as she stared at Alpha Zuck Danesworth.
Alpha Zuck didn't care about any of that, he just walked ahead to inspect the room.
Many onlookers shivered at how ruthless and merciless Alpha Zuck was.
Alex grew tongue-tied, unable to say anything. Her head was spinning.
He felt at a point that Alpha Zuck was the devil.
Alex turned while crying and ran towards her room.
