Suddenly, a voice slithered into his ears, as cunning as a serpent, "Do you wish to annihilate those two F-rankers? I can assist you." Baek, blinded by rage, didn't question the stranger's sudden appearance in his heavily guarded room. He retorted, "Why would I need help to crush those weaklings? It's the other pillars working against our Namgoong clan out of fear."
The stranger interrupted him, "Is that what you believe? You're still a child, Baek. Your father controls the pillars. But if this continues, won't your succession in the family be jeopardized? Oh by the way name is Gyodo" Baek couldn't deny it. He knew no one could defy his father, but he needed a reason to act. This was the first time he had tasted defeat (though he had come third after Grey and Raphael), and he was in turmoil.
The stranger's words fanned the flames of his anger. In response, Baek summoned his Gift and created a Lightning Lance, hurling it towards the intruder. To his astonishment, the stranger absorbed the energy, and the lance vanished into thin air. Baek tried to attack again, but each lance was absorbed, leaving him in fear for the third time in his life. "Don't worry, I won't harm you. I'm here to be your benefactor," the stranger assured him.
Before Baek could recover, the stranger disappeared, leaving a letter in his hand. The mysterious visitor was a high-ranking member of the Demon Lord worshipers, whose intent was to gather malice. They had used the practical exam in the Mulvise dungeon to gather malice by killing every cadet, aiming to aid to achieve their grand goal. But Grey and Raphael had thwarted their plans, eliminating the monstrosity at the lower rank. The Demon Lord worshipers saw them as threats and sought to eliminate them as soon as possible. However, UTOPIA was the world's safest place, so they had to manipulate others against them. And so, they turned to Baek, who was nursing his wounds inflicted by Grey and Raphael, to use him and eliminate them.

Same time in Utopia, well past mealtime, Grey sat silently in a lotus position, deeply immersed in meditation. This had become a daily ritual since arriving in Utopia, a way to focus on his goals and maintain hope. Slowly opening his eyes, he gracefully released himself from the posture and checked his status window.
