When Scarlett got home, nobody was home, so she headed to her room. She had just showered and was heading out to get lunch when she overheard laughter coming from the dining area. As she descended the stairs, she overheard David and October talking.
"Shouldn't you be in Massachusetts?" As she approached them, she questioned. "What are you doing here?"
October, and David turned to look at her. "Hi, hun. I didn't know you were home."
Scarlett took a seat. "But my car is outside."
"I didn't notice. You're home so early, why? You don't always come home this early."
Scarlett folded her arms. "You didn't answer my question. Shouldn't he be out of town?"
"Well, I just got here a few days ago." David stated after finishing his glass of wine.
"Neither Cornelia nor her mother know about that."
"I wanted to surprise them. I will be going home today."
"Hmm." Scarlett turned to look at October again. "I am going out. I will be back tonight." She stood up from her chair.
