Cornelia gasped. "But that was like your last phone."
"I know. For the time being, I don't believe it is wise for me to spend thousands of dollars on a phone that I will still change in a year."
"True," Cornelia nodded.
After giving the salesperson her card, Scarlett had her phone packaged. After saying her good-byes, she headed for the door. She unboxed it and began using it once she was in her car. After waiting 30 minutes, she finally started the car. "Let me take you home." She said to Cornelia and drove off.
Raven tried to talk to her repeatedly on the drive home, but Scarlett didn't want Cornelia to find out. She detested the fact that Avery did not accompany them. Scarlett pondered whether she ought to apologize to Avery if she was so irate over how she had treated October. She wasn't ready to lose her friends because of her bad behavior.
