Chapter 76 - Stalking Little Loli

Wesley took the yacht out to sea and Carlos began to prepare the fishing gear. Hannah was in the kitchen packing up the ingredients while Mindy ran to Wesley's side and watched him drive the yacht. In the past, she should have rarely come out to play. Everything looked new to her.

"Want to try?" Wesley asked when he saw her yearning face.

"Can I?" Mindy asked excitedly.

"Of course, come to the chair. I'll teach you. For now, learn to drive simply. Later, I'll teach you how to operate it specifically." Wesley patiently taught her the simplest driving. As for how to look at the sea map, you can just skip it. Mindy is still too young.

The siblings were having a good time, running around on the sea until Carlos came and told them to go fishing. Wesley stopped the yacht at this time and pulled Mindy to the stern to teach her how to fish.

They had a good time that day, but they didn't go home late. Mindy had school tomorrow.

The next morning, Wesley picked Mindy up from Hannah's place and drove her straight to school. "Mindy, remember to call me if you have any problems. We're going to start renovating your room today. I believe you'll have your own room soon."

"Got it." Mindy walked into the school with her new bag on one shoulder. Wesley watched her enter the school before leaving, but he went back to the school gate and watched the gate from a distance. He wondered if his little sister would skip class and go back to her home to train.

She didn't have to wait long before Mindy reappeared at the school gate. A taxi stopped in front of her and left. Wesley started the car and followed.

"Call headquarters and help me monitor a taxi. The license plate is XXXX." Wesley did not follow too closely. His sports car was easy to recognize, so he simply called the New York branch of the Divine Shield Bureau and used traffic surveillance to follow the car.

"Headquarters copy, we are now tracking. Agent Wesley Gibson, please use your phone to receive the target location."

"Understood." Wesley took out his phone. Sure enough, there was a taxi mark on it, hanging far behind. After less than ten blocks, the taxi stopped. Wesley stepped on the gas and sped up. Mindy was talking to the driver of the taxi and walked straight into the apartment next door.

Wesley followed. He couldn't get through the electronic door here. He checked that there were security guards inside, then started knocking.

"Sir, are you looking for someone?" The security guard came over and asked directly.

Wesley didn't waste any time. He flashed his ID. "Homeland Strategic Defense Attack and Logistics Assurance Bureau. Does that little girl live here? What floor and number is her home?"

"Don't try to fool me. I won't open the door for you, and I won't tell you information about the little girl. Now please leave, or I will call the police. How can a little girl have anything to do with your homeland security agency? You have to think carefully when you lie. Leave quickly, or I will call the police." The security guard looked at Wesley warily.

Wesley wanted to give him a thumbs-up for his wit, but he was a little uncomfortable using it on himself. "You can call the police now and see if my ID is real, or I can call a team of people to back me up. What do you think?"

"Your ID is real?" the security guard asked.

"If it's true, that girl indeed has nothing to do with Homeland Security, but she has something to do with me. My father recently adopted her, but this little guy ran out of school. As her new brother, I need to know some of her thoughts. Can you understand what I'm saying?"

"Oh, of course. Come in. I'll take you up." The security guard opened the door directly and Wesley walked in. They took the elevator straight up. "This is her home. His father died not long ago. I didn't expect you to have adopted her. She's a cute child."

"Thank you, can you give us some privacy? Children inevitably need some face."

"Of course, but I need to wait outside. If you are really her brother, then I think I will leave." Wesley knocked directly on the door.

When the door opened, Mindy looked scared. She didn't expect to be caught directly. What should she say?

"Mindy, tell this security guard if I'm your brother. He still has a job."

"Yes, thank you. He's my brother."

"That's good. Then I'll go down and you can talk."

Wesley thanked the security guard and sent him off. Then he looked at Mindy and said, "Aren't you going to invite me in?" Mindy hesitated for a moment and then opened the door. Wesley walked in. The house here was not big, and the living room was used for combat training. One room had a password lock on the door, and the other rooms were more normal.

"Are you homesick?" Wesley found a seat and asked.

"Uh… yes, I miss home a little." Mindy's big eyes rolled and then she said. Wesley laughed. This little girl is not honest, but it's understandable. It's hard for a person to change his life habits at once, especially a child.

"Mindy, we are a family now. We should get to know each other. Do you mind showing me around?" Wesley asked.

"There's… there's nothing to see. There's basically nothing in our house?" Mindy stood in front of Wesley, her small hands ravaging the corners of her clothes.

"Is there really nothing? The living room is like a training ground and there is a room with this password lock. Do you need me to open it?"

"That's my dad's room. Only he knows the password. He didn't tell me before he died." Mindy's big eyes blinked and she said it casually. Wesley was amused. Then he took out a device the size of a phone and went to the password lock. A green light shone out. It was a fingerprint decoder. He had used it once.

Based on the fingerprint on the password lock, Wesley entered the password and the door opened. The little girl, Mindy, was dumbfounded. Her new brother actually had such a thing. Even her father didn't have it.

"Oh, the weapons here are not bad. There are all kinds of weapons, especially handguns." Wesley had already walked in. Mindy reacted and followed him in a hurry, but her new brother didn't seem frightened.

Mindy looked at Wesley and asked, "Aren't you scared? My old home was like an arsenal."

Wesley laughed, then pulled off his suit jacket and flashed his two guns. Today he had brought his own pistol, a Beretta 92F with a carved wooden handle and an M1911 with a silver engraved and ivory handle. "How are my two guns?"
