Chapter 216 - Arrival of the Banshee

The vacation after work was always pleasant, both physically and mentally. It was a psychological effect. Wesley knew this well, but he was still happy for the vacation. Melinda May was responsible for supervising the maintenance of the plane, while Wesley continued to supervise the training of Sky and the other two.

Phil Coulson was hiding in his office doing something, and Wesley expressed concern about it. He had always wanted to tell Phil Coulson about his death and resurrection, and Wesley could keep him from going crazy.

Just as they were on leave, in the distant and desolate Death Valley, a beautiful woman suddenly appeared. She was dressed differently, but this place was very desolate, and she could only walk. The distance and the hot sun did not seem to affect her much. She looked weak, but she surprisingly persevered.

Wesley and the others were now at a military base on the edge of California. This place belonged to S.H.I.E.L.D., which was why the military hated S.H.I.E.L.D. This place could have belonged to them. After Wesley supervised the training of Sky and the others, he felt that he could teach Sky to fight, but his way was not suitable for her. It seemed that he would have to ask Melinda for help.

"You guys rest first. I'll go find Melinda and see if she can teach you to fight," Wesley said.

Sky took Wesley's hand and asked, "Why don't you teach us? You seem very good, don't you?"

Wesley shook his head. "I'm not good at fighting techniques. I'm good at strength and speed. My fighting is a free-for-all. To put it bluntly, it's just random fighting without the slightest skill."

"Really? Why is it so easy to watch you fight every time?" Fitz asked.

"Well, let me tell you what it was like when I learned to fight." Wesley told you how he entered the Assassin Brotherhood. "At that time, I was tied to a chair, and then a guy named Repairman kept calling me with his fists. I didn't knock him down until five weeks later. This is how I learned to fight. Do you want to try?"

"Oh, I think Melinda would be nice to call us," Simmons said hurriedly, and Fitz and Sky nodded in agreement.

Wesley smiled and got up to look for Melinda. She was in the cockpit checking the maintenance progress. Wesley went in and closed the door behind him.

"Have you gotten the information I asked for?"

"Here it is." Melinda handed over a flash drive. "It was already buried in Phil Coulson's grave, but since you need it, they dug it up again."

"Some secrets can never be hidden. Instead of letting go, we'll tell Phil after I find a way. By the way, I want you to teach the three of them fighting. You know, I'm not good at it."

"You have trained them well. I will find time to teach them." Melinda nodded in agreement.

"Wow…" The alarm sounded. It was a mission alarm. The person who alerted the plane had a mission. Wesley shook his head and said, "It's incredible. We are doing plane maintenance. Why is there a mission?"

"It means that the mission location is very close to us. There is no need for the plane to take off. Let's go and see what the mission is." The two of them got up and left the cockpit and went to the conference room.

Phil Coulson also appeared, his face unreadable. Wesley was temporarily reassured, and then everyone began to read the mission.

"At the intersection of California and Nevada, there is an abnormal energy reaction in the sky." Fitz said as he operated, "The energy reaction type is exactly the same as that of New Mexico and God King Odin when he landed. He is from the God Realm."

"Saul?" Sky asked.

"I'm not sure, but since it's a mission, let's go. Take a team of commandos and order the base to be ready. Sky and Simmons will stay behind, and Fitz will take the detection equipment. I need the exact location." Phil Coulson gave the order.

They were very fast. Ten minutes later, five S.H.I.E.L.D. SUVs set off. A team of fully armed commandos followed and moved towards the target position.

The five cars sped along the road, dust flying everywhere. The intersection was very desolate. When they approached their destination, a huge beam of light fell from the sky. In the distance, they could see the convoy accelerating.

A female warrior in full armor landed on the ground. She stood there with a shield in her left hand and a sword in her right hand, looking at the convoy rushing toward her. Wesley was in the front car, observing with a telescope in his hand. Then he said on the radio, "The alarm is off. It's Miss Sif, a warrior of the Realm of the Gods."

The convoy listened, and Wesley stepped out of the car. "What are you doing here, Sif?"

"Sir Wesley Gibson, I'm here to warn you that your world is in a major crisis," Sif said as she put away her sword and shield.

"Get in the car. We'll talk when we get to our base." Wesley directly asked Sif to get in the car. Sif saw Phil Coulson in the car.

"Phil Coulson, Saul beat you to it. He was happy that you came back from the dead," Sif said.

"I'm very happy myself. The last time God King Odin came, it was a pity that I didn't have a chance to participate." Phil Coulson smiled, but Wesley looked at Phil Coulson in the rearview mirror with an unnatural smile. He had a lot of questions about his death.

When the convoy returned to the base, they boarded the plane and gathered in the conference room. Sif directly stated her purpose. "When the Dark Elves attacked the Divine Realm, there was a riot in the prison. At that time, although it was suppressed by Jazz, someone escaped and came to Earth through a secret passage."

"Who is it?" Sky asked hurriedly.

"Lorelei the Banshee." Sif's expression was serious. The name probably made her very afraid. Wesley knew this woman, but the plot had made him modify a lot. Some things did not happen. Now he was not sure if it would exceed expectations. "Lorelei once caused great turmoil in the Nine Worlds. She could gather the army to subvert the kingdom and execute the king. In the end, she was defeated and captured by the Realm of the Gods and has been imprisoned for hundreds of years."

"How can she be so powerful?" Simmons looked incredulous.

"She can control men. By sound and touch, men have a big weakness, and that's how Lorelei controls them," Sif explained.

"So she can't control women?" Melinda asked.

"Yes, she can't control women. I'm here to hunt her down. After catching her, just put this collar on her." Sif put a metal collar on the counter.
