"what's going on?" Madison asked Rei.
She woke up to see all the slaves running to wherever it was they were running to like there was something important happening.
Being a curious girl she also tagged along to see where they were all rushing to.
And it ended up to be they were all running to the training ground.
"What's going on?"
"The king summoned us."
"Just us? Are we in trouble?" Madison asked curiously.
She haven't recovered from all the troubles she had put herself so far,so being in another trouble was what she does not want again.
"Do you think all the slaves are like you?" Rei asked jokingly,but it still hurt Madison a bit to be called a trouble maker.
"You don't have to make it sound so hateful" she frowned.
Ignoring her, Rei went ahead to explain what was happening.
"We the slaves are not the only ones being summoned,also the princes were called"
Okay that information just stirred up Madison curiosity.
"Why"
"How am I suppose to know".
Madison was ok with that answer,and she was about to ask for more detail when she saw the princes walking into the training ground looking all breathtakingly beautiful, especially her prince charming who was the only one that caught her eye.
She couldn't take her eyes off Kontas,she tried,but she couldn't.
And just like a predictor pulling it's prey to look at her, Kontas's eyes came in contact with hers, and Madison couldn't explain the feelings she felt. Especially when Kontas winked at her.
Gosh! Her heart nearly burst out from her chest.
"Madison, Madison,are you even listening to me"Rei called snapping her fingers in front of her face.
"Huh?"
"Were you daydreaming?"
"No,it would have been really bad if it was a dream"she grinned biting her lower lips.
Not long after the princes walked into the training ground,the King and Queen also walked making every side talk stop.
Without saying a word, King Varog already has all the attention of everyone present in the training field.
"I believe every slave is present?" King Varog asked staring intensely at every single slaves.
The slaves couldn't look directly at the King for fear of being punished.
When the king was finally satisfied with the attention he was getting,he went ahead with what he wanted to say.
"I believe some of you are curious to know what this summoning is all about" he asked as murmurs of yes echoed round the field.
"In the next full moon,their will be a competition that was held last 100 years ago,and I believe some of the gods are looking forward to this competition again?"
Now Madison was lost. What was this all about?
"What is he talking about?" Madison whispered to Rei.
"I don't know"
Well that was unexpected. How come a whole Rei who knows everything doesn't know what was going on.
"Don't look at me like that. You don't expect me to know everything" she scoffed annoyed.
"I do expect you to know everything" Madison murmured. If Rei heard it,she pretended like she didn't.
"A lot of you know about these competition while some of you don't." He grinned.
"For those of you that doesn't know about these,I will let you know." Standing up from his throne,he looked at all the slaves one after the other and stopped when his eyes came in contact with Madison's.
"And pay attention to me" he yelled, directing the question to Madison.
"There's going to be a ceremony, and is not just a simple ceremony. But the ceremony will be attended by the he great goddess herself" He grinned as everyone started murmuring among themselves.
"And there shall be competitions,in which everyone will participate in both the slaves and the princes. So use this few remaining days to practice and train".
After talking,he left the training ground with it's spirit beast following right behind him.
The great goddess was coming to the ceremony?
Madison couldn't be more happier. So finally she will get to see the bitch she's been longing to see.
Seems like is time she puts her plan into action.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Kontas asked.
" Does the great goddess have control over your beast?" Madison asked.
"I don't know. She has never tried to control me before. Why the question?"
"Nothing,I just wanted to know"
"Madison,you know that am aware that you're Catelyn right?" He asked with his eyebrows raised.
" I know "
" Then why are you still pretending even when you're with me " he asked confused.
He's trying to understand her,but she isn't making it easy for him.
"Kontas listen,am a human now. Am no longer an immortal. " Madison said trying to make him understand.
"What do you mean?"
" You won't understand. I will explain everything to you when the right time comes,trust me" She promised as she pecked him on the lips and walked away.
XANTARA
"Any update?" Xantara the great goddess asked.
"Not at all great goddess. But am aware she's in possession of the book that contains the history of begtuok" The lady on the black robe with a good covering her face said.
"What could my sister possible what the book for?"She asked no one in particularly. Standing from her throne,she walked majestically to where the lady stood.
"You know E ,my sister has always been a mischievous person,and if I find out that you are hiding something from me....."
"I dare not do such thing great goddess. I have always been loyal to you even when I was your sister's servant" She whispered with her head bowed low.
"You are right. You can go know. I will check for myself at the competition" She grinned devilishly as she walked out of the throne room.
🌹In Rei's and Madison's room🌹
Rei was setting things in order when Madison walked in and started parading round the room,like someone who had something to say.
"What is it?"Rei asked.
Madison stopped her movement and dragged Rei to their bed,where she made her sit.
"I have something to tell you"Madison let out.
What was she trying to do?
"What is it" Rei asked, worried.
After wasting a lot of time on keeping her breathing steady, Madison heaved a long signed then said...
"Am not human"
She said what now???
WTF
"I know that already"Rei scoffed, not one bit surprised.
Wow.
"From your behavior, anyone with enough sense can tell you aren't human" Rei explained when she saw the surprised look on Madison's face.
Well she was right,it was so obvious that Madison wasn't human.
"Am aware of that,but what am about to say,is going to blow your mind. But you to promise me,that you won't tell anyone" Madison said with lots of seriousness. She needs to have the confidence that Rei won't go around telling everyone of her secret.
Rei saw the seriousness in her face and even heard from her voice.
She was really curious now to know what that secret Madison have to say.
"I promise with my life. You can trust me" She assured.
"Ok, here goes nothing. Am the first great goddess Catelyn" Madison voiced out, waiting for Rei's reaction. But she gave non.
She just stood there with her mouth and eyes wide up.
What did Madison just said ???
She was who again??
"You said what" Rei asked to be sure of what she heard.
"I said am the first great goddess Cat...."
"Are you nuts?? You can't just go around saying such nonsense. You could get killed because of that and not even pence Kontas can save you" Rei yelled.
She knew Madison was a free spirited person who doesn't take anything to consideration before saying or doing something.
But she is crossing the line.
"Am not nuts Rei and am serious. I know everyone assumes me dead but am not. "
Madison said, trying so hard to convince Rei,but Rei was hearing any of it.
She thinks Madison is being insane.
"This land was created only to accept it's own people in it,and kill any soul that isn't of it. But have you ever wondered how I was able to get into begtuok? Not only that,but my soul also tired to begtuok? Have you ever asked how come?" Madison questioned, staring blankly at Rei.
Rei never thought about that. And it was also weird how Madison was able to survive in their land for so long and she was still looking perfectly fine.
"That's right Rei, that's because I own begtuok. It recognizes it's owner."
"gods!!" Rei exclaimed,as she fell to her knees, bowing her head very low to the ground.
She can't believe she has been living in the same room with the great goddess.
"My greetings great goddess, I acknowledge your presence" Rei exclaimed with a strangled voice.
"Stand up Rei, acknowledging me isn't important right now. You must not tell anybody about these. I need to get back my powers first before I can face my sister" Madison whispered.
"You mean you don't have your powers?" Rei asked surprised. What was a goddess with her power talkless of a great goddess at that.
"Staying in a human body for so long, made me loose all my powers. But not to worry,am working on getting it back." Madison assured, as she made her way to the the door and left the room. Leaving Rei all alone.
"So you're really the great goddess" Rei asked no one in particular as she smiled,a very sorrowful smile as an old memory came to her.
