Chapter 858 - Controlling the Fierce Fire!

Ivan was pleased with his new ability, but he expected more than that. If he could control fire, would he be able to control fire?

With this in mind, Ivan experimented with his wand with great excitement. With a gentle wave, a small flame floated out of the tip of the wand.

To Ivan's slight surprise, there was now a brilliant gold in the scarlet flames.

"Is it because of the phoenix blood?" Yvonne asked, her mind racing.

If he remembered correctly, the flame whip used by Dumbledore to seriously injure Voldemort was of a similar colour…

Even as Ivan thought this, the red flame had turned completely red-gold.

However, this did not stop. A cold aura emanated from Ivan's body, and the golden flames changed again. Wisps of white flames appeared, transforming the flames into a strange grayish-white color.

The white flames floated in the Room of Requirement, and just looking at Ivan made his soul palpitate…

He was very curious as to why his Li Huo had suddenly become like this. Could it be that there were other powers besides the Phoenix bloodline that could affect his Li Huo?

Ivan frowned, unable to understand what was going on. Unfortunately, the changes to the Fierce Fire only lasted for a few seconds. If it had been longer, or if he had been in the system's protective mode, he might have been able to tell…

Since she couldn't figure it out for the time being, Ivan had no intention of dwelling on it.

Fierce fire was essentially a manifestation of a sorcerer's inner violence and killing intent. The intensity and state of the fierce fire summoned by different people were different.

Grindelwald's fire, for example, was ghostly blue, and it did not seem to matter that his own flame had turned grey.

Not to mention, Ivan could clearly sense that this mutated flame was much stronger than the original, more threatening and harder to control!

Ivan did his best to direct the white flames to surround him, transforming them into shields, whips, and even swords. After some time of practice, Ivan's control over the flames became smoother.

As expected, his previous guess was right. The ability to control flames was also useful against fierce flames…

After getting used to it, Ivan tried to lift his wand. The alchemical device on his wrist suddenly emitted waves of magic, and the white flames quickly expanded, turning into a ten-meter-long fiery saber that slashed down!

A violent explosion sounded, and the tyrannical Fire Blade left a deep crack in the hard ground. Not only that, but the white flames continued to devour the floor and multiply, widening the crack…

The surrounding space also shook and seemed to become unstable…

Fearing that the fire would destroy the entire Room of Requirement, Ivan tested its power and quickly extinguished the fire.

"I'm probably as strong as I was that night…" Ivan muttered to himself, looking at the marks left by the fierce fire.

With his current strength, if he could return to that night in Knockturn Alley, he would not have to waste five Legend Points. Activating the system's protection mode would be enough to repel the Dark Lord…

Crucially, with the Philosopher's Stone, he would have no trouble staying alive for another minute…

Ivan's happiness did not last long, as he knew that he was no longer facing Lord Voldemort, who was hiding in his safe house, but the most powerful white wizard in the wizarding world, Albus Dumbledore!

The man who defeated the first Dark Lord of the wizarding world, Grindelwald, head-on and plotted against Lord Voldemort!

Ivan was never one to underestimate Dumbledore just because he was friendly with him on a daily basis. From what Ivan had been told, Dumbledore was capable of one-on-one combat, and even with Harry as a burden, he was able to repel the Dark Lord.

It was clear from their exchange of words that Voldemort feared Dumbledore, or he would not have dared to approach Hogwarts when he was at the height of his power.

However, Ivan believes that he also has the power to defeat the Dark Lord, and that if Dumbledore's power were only what it appears to be in the past, there would be nothing to fear.

What exactly is he relying on, the Elder Wand? Yvonne wondered, feeling vaguely uneasy.

Dumbledore was too confident, confident enough to trust himself with the blood of the phoenix and use it to strengthen his enemies before the war.

Yvonne thought back to the powerful aura she had felt from the white wizard at the beginning of the school year, and then remembered Dumbledore's frequent disappearances over the past two years.

Could he have accidentally unlocked the secret of the Deathly Hallows? Ivan wondered.

Dumbledore and Harry were the only two people to have obtained three Deathly Hallows in their lifetime, but neither of them were able to get all three at once.

Dumbledore returned the Cloak of Invisibility to Harry before taking the Resurrection Stone, so he only had two Hallows at most.

Not to mention the fact that Harry left the Resurrection Stone in the Forbidden Forest before he died, thus making it impossible for him to collect all three Hallows at once.

However, things are different now. The Cloak of Invisibility has been missing for over a year. Perhaps Dumbledore has it…

Ivan, of course, did not believe that the white wizard would steal Harry's Cloak of Invisibility, but what if Harry had left it somewhere and Dumbledore had retrieved it?

Searching for the power of the Deathly Hallows was Dumbledore's lifelong ambition. With his life in danger, and faced with the temptation to collect all three of the Deathly Hallows at once, would Dumbledore choose to temporarily seize the Cloak of Invisibility and study the power of the Deathly Hallows on his own?

The more Ivan thought about it, the more likely it seemed, but he wasn't 100% sure…

"Well, there's no point in dwelling on it…" Ivan sighed, a guess that did little more than let him know that Dumbledore might be more powerful than he thought, adding to the pressure on his mind.

He was not, of course, completely out of his depth, and his meeting with Dumbledore a few days ago was evidence of Dumbledore's poor health, as well as his advanced age.

Therefore, what he had to do was to stall for time and increase the intensity of the battle so that the injuries in Dumbledore's body would erupt completely…
