Chapter 823 - You Brutally Broke It

Three days passed in the blink of an eye, during which no third package arrived.

Ivan, however, had his suspicions about who had sent the package, although he had not yet figured out their motives.

After a quick meal in the Great Hall on Thursday afternoon, Ivan turned his attention to the Slytherin table, wondering if he should find a chance to stop and question the man.

Just as he was thinking this, Harry and Ron, who had returned to the dormitory earlier, rushed over and pulled Ivan away.

"This is bad, Ivan. You should go check it out!"

Ivan couldn't help but be curious when he saw their shocked expressions, and immediately followed them.

When she arrived at the break room, she found the young Gryffindor wizards gathered around the noticeboard, where a new notice had been placed.

[Warrant of the Hogwarts High Inquisitor:

All student organizations, associations, teams, or clubs are dissolved.

… .

Any student found to have formed or joined any organisation, association, team or club without the permission of the High Inquisitor is immediately expelled from the school.]

Ivan's face remained calm as he read the notice.

It was clear that this announcement was aimed at him, but he had expected this when he was dealing with the Defence Against the Dark Arts Society.

Harry and Ron were worried, and they both turned to Yvonne to ask her about it.

"What do we do now, Ivan? Stop the rally for a while?"

"No, it's business as usual… do what you have to do!" Ivan replied casually, shaking his head.

Harry and Ron looked at each other in confusion, unsure of Ivan's intentions, as Umbridge's announcement was clearly aimed at them, and the best thing to do now would be to cancel the mass gathering and wait it out.

After all, Educational Decree Number Twenty-Four made it clear that they would be expelled if Umbridge caught them.

"Don't worry, don't worry too much. If anything happens, I'll take care of it." Ivan patted them on the shoulder and comforted them before returning to his room.

Due to the new announcement, the wizards were all gathered in the lounge, and the room was empty. Ivan took advantage of his lunch break to sit on the bed and open a compartment in his drawer. He took out the diadem and examined it carefully.

Three years ago, during the final battle in the Chamber of Secrets, he used the basilisk's fangs to destroy this Ravenclaw relic.

[Magical Item: Ravenclaw's Diadem

Special State: Damaged

Description: This is a relic left behind by Hogwarts founder Rowena Ravenclaw, which increases the wearer's wisdom.

Remarks: You cruelly broke it…"

Ivan's mouth twitched as he read the note on his Inventory. Ravenclaw's diadem had long since been defiled by Lord Voldemort, and he was supposed to have saved it.

How could it be cruel?

Ivan grumbled to himself, but he was intrigued by the system's growth wisdom.

Ravenclaw's diadem was rumoured to have a similar function, and Helena stole it in order to gain wisdom beyond her mother's.

"Strange. If the diadem was so magical, why would Lord Voldemort be willing to make it into a Horcrux?" Ivan gently touched the carvings on the diadem, somewhat puzzled.

He had previously dismissed the rumours of the diadem's wisdom as mere fables — for example, Rowena Ravenclaw counted on people to discover that it was not the diadem itself that gave wisdom.

However, after sorting through Ravenclaw's manuscripts for the past two days, Ivan was able to dispel this suspicion, and the system's instructions were another form of testimony.

In any case, he had no intention of returning the diadem to Helena until he had repaired it and figured out its power…

Pa ~

In the silence of the boys' dormitory, a faint snapping sound could be heard.

The moment Ivan heard the voice, he pulled out his wand and pointed it. A small figure had already appeared in the empty space beside him.

"Dobby?"

After seeing who it was, Ivan put his wand away and asked curiously, "Did my mother send you? How's Knockturn Alley? Is everything okay there?"

"It's very bad, sir. Recently, the Ministry of Magic has suddenly stepped up their search of Knockturn Alley, and Mrs. Hales suspects that You-Know-Who is infiltrating the Ministry of Magic… . In addition, due to censorship, business at the Wizarding Market has been forced to stop…"

Dobby's ears were down, and his voice was high-pitched as he talked about the trouble he had been in at Knockturn Alley for the past two months.

Ivan frowned at Dobby's words.

After the capture of the wizarding market last year, a large amount of captured money was put back into operation.

Now, more than a year later, when the Wizarding Market was finally looking good enough to make money, it was forced to close due to Ministry of Magic scrutiny. How could Ivan not feel bad?

Of course, the most important task at hand was to deal with the lack of funds, whether it was to support law enforcement or to woo Ministry officials.

Thank God for the Philosopher's Stone, thought Ivan, his frown fading as he looked at Dobby.

"Don't worry about the funds. When you get back, ask your mother to give you a number. I'll give you an equivalent amount of gold and magical metals.

You will then give these to Rosier and the others, in exchange for enough Galleons from the pure-blood families."

The ability of the stone to perform material conversion was naturally not limited to the ability to turn a little stone into gold. In fact, most metals could be created directly by consuming magic.

It was a bit of a waste of magic, but these were desperate times and he couldn't care less.

The only problem was how to convert the gold and magical metals into Galleons without attracting the Ministry's attention.

Gringotts was a good place, and even if he conjured a mountain of gold, they would be able to eat it. However, there were many Ministry of Magic spies there, and goblin credit was questionable. They might just turn around and sell you out.

This was when the role of the surrendered pure-blood families came into play.

Although he had blackmailed Rosier and the others, and each family had paid tens of thousands of Galleons to join him, he did not believe that pure-blood families had so little heritage.

He could not forcibly confiscate the other party's assets, but it should not be a problem, right?
