Ivan held the two heavy books to his chest, feeling the weight of this legacy.
After a moment's hesitation, Ivan put his suitcase aside and looked at Nicolas Flamel.
"Teacher, I can stay with you for a while."
Ivan was being very serious. He felt that he had to do something for her, even if it was something trivial, like seeing her off…
"I'm glad you feel this way…Hales!" said Nicolas Flamel, shaking his head slowly. "But there's no need. The alchemical creatures will take care of me. Please allow an old man a final moment of peace…"
"And I'm sure Dumbledore would not want to see any students taking the day off…" added Nicolas Flamel with a laugh.
Seeing the determination in Nicolas Flamel's voice, Ivan gave up on the idea of staying, though his mood was worse than before, as he suddenly remembered that it was not only Nicolas Flamel who was dying, but also Dumbledore.
Ivan had mixed feelings about this Headmaster of Hogwarts.
Despite his poor relationship with Alicia, he was, in all fairness, treated her well, and Ivan would not have wished to hear of her death if he could help it.
Unfortunately, Dumbledore's Dark Arts was tricky, and if even Nicolas Flamel, who was far more skilled in the art of alchemy than he was, and Snape, the most accomplished Potions Master in Britain, could not think of a solution, what could he do?
After bidding farewell to Nicolas Flamel, Ivan left the house, looking slightly upset. Before leaving, he took one last look around the courtyard and saw the Ukakas, who had piled themselves into a large robot, waving at him enthusiastically.
Ivan nodded, waved goodbye to them, and waved his wand vigorously.
"Disillusionment!"
… .
Meanwhile, in London, at Kingdom Cross Station
With a spatial shift, Ivan appeared out of thin air in an alley near the station.
After regaining her balance, Ivan looked around to make sure there were no Muggles nearby, then carried his suitcase towards Kingdom Cross Station.
Along the way, Ivan was keenly aware that the coordinates of the safe house were fading into the background until they disappeared from his mind.
It seemed that Nicolas Flamel had made up his mind to die and did not want to pay his respects in the future.
"They're quite ruthless, sir, wiping out the coordinates," Ivan muttered to himself, but he quickly collected his emotions and stepped onto the nine-and-three-quarters platform with his suitcase.
It was the beginning of the school year, and the Wizarding Station was bustling with noise and activity. The Redskins Hogwarts train was parked on the platform, and thick smoke was pouring out of the huge chimneys, making the whole station look misty.
Ivan also happened to see the Weasleys, Harry Potter, Hermione Weasley, and the others at the door of the next carriage.
"Hi, Ivan!" said Harry, waving happily when he spotted Ivan.
Next to him, George and Fred, who were blocked by Arthur Weasley, looked at each other and smiled.
The two of them suddenly waved their wands and teleported to Ivan's side.
Unfortunately, Ivan was nowhere to be seen before they could reach him.
"George, Weasley? What are you doing? Trying to show off your new magic?" Ivan called from behind them.
"Hehe… I just wanted to say hello." George turned around and realized that Ivan had teleported behind him.
He had intended to surprise Ivan with a surprise meeting (a shock), but he was surprised at how vigilant Ivan was.
Fred explained, "We learned Apparition a long time ago, we just never had the chance to use it… You know, underage wizards aren't allowed to perform magic outside school, and Hogwarts is protected from Apparition…"
"Of course, it's different now. We're seventeen, we're adults, and no one can stop us from doing magic outside school!" George added proudly.
However, the Weasley brothers were not happy for long, as a grim-faced Mrs Weasley came over and pulled them aside for a good scolding.
She got into a lot of trouble over the summer because of George and Fred's random spells, and was almost caught by Muggles on the way to Kingdom Cross Station when George cast a Levitation Charm in high spirits.
Ivan looked at the Weasley brothers, who still had the leisure to wink at him after being reprimanded by Mrs Weasley, and shook his head in amusement.
When he turned to greet the others, a figure ran straight into his arms.
"Hermione, long time no see!" Ivan greeted her with a smile as he threw his arms around her.
"Oh, it's been so long, Yvonne!" The little witch squeezed her arms enthusiastically and curled up in Yvonne's arms, as if she were releasing two months of longing.
It wasn't until the Hogwarts train let out a long cry that Hermione regained her senses and her senses, as well as the fact that everyone around her was looking at her suggestively, that she managed to struggle out of Ivan's arms, pretending that nothing had happened.
Ivan reluctantly let go, and then greeted Harry and the others, who were surprised to see Sirius, Moody, and Lupin.
After some subtle questioning, Ivan realised that they were all there to protect Harry.
'Did something happen?'
Yvonne frowned, but before he could question her, the young witch intervened.
"By the way, Ivan, you must have received the letter from the school, too?"
"Letter? What letter?" Yvonne asked.
"Of course! Prefect badges and letters of appointment! I got them this morning!" Hermione exclaimed as she took a letter and a badge from her pocket.
Yvonne took the badge and looked at it. It had a picture of a roaring lion with a large "P" in the middle…
"Congratulations on becoming a prefect, Hermione!" Ivan said, returning the badge with a smile, pleased for the little witch.
"Thank you!" Hermione's eyes narrowed and she smiled, pleased by Ivan's compliment.
