"Yes! A few years! Four years ago, you foiled my resurrection plan, but alas… this time, I won!" Lord Voldemort's voice was high, and he seemed pleased.
"My loyal servants executed my brilliant plan to get Harry Potter out of your custody!"
"See, I have truly fought death and gained a new body, and no one can stop me now … not even you, Dumbledore!"
Voldemort spoke fiercely, his red eyes fixed on Dumbledore, expecting to see annoyance and regret on Dumbledore's face.
None of this happened, however, as Dumbledore merely stared at him in utter disappointment and then spoke in a low voice.
"I think I warned you before, Tom, that blind optimism renders one incapable of even the most basic judgement, and that all you do is push yourself faster into the jaws of death…"
"Spare me your preaching, Dumbledore!" Voldemort cut Dumbledore off harshly. "Save your breath if you expect to influence me with a few words! Or perhaps…you intend to use this to cover up your mistake?"
"A mistake? Well, I suppose it's fair to assume that you surprised me by controlling Alastor and Sirius with the Imperius Curse…" Dumbledore said, raising his wand gently with his left hand. "But I don't think it's too late to make up for it!"
"You plan to kill me? Here? With some baggage?" Lord Voldemort scoffed.
"A burden? You really think so? Tom? You shouldn't underestimate anyone's…" Dumbledore said meaningfully. "If I'm not mistaken, you've suffered a bit, haven't you?"
Lord Voldemort's face darkened and twisted as he recalled his losses in the graveyard.
"Then give it a try!" Without warning, Voldemort raised his wand, not at Dumbledore, but at Sirius, who was standing nearby.
"Avada Kedavra ~ (Avada Kedavra)"
A dark green beam flashed through the air, and Sirius, not expecting Voldemort to suddenly target him, reacted immediately, but too late!
Fortunately, a ball of golden flame appeared in front of Sirius, and Fox leapt out of it, swallowing the green light in one gulp.
At the same moment that Voldemort attacked, Dumbledore attacked, and a scarlet-gold beam of light shot out from the tip of his wand, hurtling towards Voldemort with frightening energy.
Ivan and the others who witnessed this all felt their hearts skip a beat.
Lord Voldemort's face grew grave, and he conjured a shining silver shield out of thin air to protect himself. The golden beam of light collided with the shield and exploded.
Flames and airwaves spread in all directions, and a loud bang echoed through the desolate mountains. Several cracks gradually spread on the solid silver shield.
However, Voldemort had no time to worry about it. A strong sense of danger gripped him and the attack… came from behind. Without turning to look, he vanished.
Within a second of his departure, a large hand made of wood came crashing down.
At some point, the towering tree next to Voldemort had changed into a giant wooden giant!
Compared to the crude treeman in the graveyard, it was more solid and lifelike. Not only did its thick branches transform into human-like arms, but it also "grew" two legs that could move quickly…
By the time the fire and dust vanished, Voldemort was gone.
Ivan and the others clutched their wands and stared around, not daring to let their guard down.
The last few encounters with Lord Voldemort have proven that he can Disapparate as he pleases!
Suddenly, Harry let out a heart-rending scream as the scar on his forehead seemed to split open.
Sirius instinctively turned to look at Harry, but a shout rang out in his ears.
'Dodge, he's right behind you, Sirius!'
It was Ivan's voice, and Sirius recognised it immediately. Without hesitation, he rolled away from the Killing Curse, but Harry was left alone.
Harry was on his knees in pain, holding his head in his hands as Voldemort flickered into view, his pale, bloodless hand reaching for Harry's neck.
"Reducto! (crushing)" Ivan waves his wand, and a beam of light suddenly shoots towards Voldemort, trying to force him away from Harry.
Voldemort ignored it, and the spell passed through him, leaving Voldemort's hand on Harry.
Harry was in so much pain that he almost lost consciousness, and could only watch as Voldemort's hideous face closed in on him, and he thought he heard a noise, and then he felt a sharp tug on his back, and he was thrown backwards into Dumbledore's arms.
Voldemort watched in disappointment as Dumbledore pulled Harry away with the Summoning Charm before he could.
However, he had no intention of giving chase. The attack had exposed him, and his identity had changed from hunter to prey…
In that split second, Ivan controlled the Shadow of the Unicorn, which had been unsuccessful in its mission, to charge at Voldemort.
Sirius also fired another Killing Curse at Voldemort!
This time, the Killing Curse failed to work, and Voldemort was able to ward off the attack with a gentle flick of his wand.
Voldemort frowned when he saw the Unicorn's Shadow in front of him. He was about to use Apparition again to dodge the attack, but a brief moment of solidification interrupted him.
Fixed Body Charm!
Looking past the illusory form of the unicorn, Voldemort saw Dumbledore's Elder Wand pointing at him.
Although he immediately disarmed the spell and regained the ability to move, the delay prevented Voldemort from performing a second Apparition…
