Chapter 632 - I've Never Heard of Such Magic!

Hermione's words calmed Harry down enough for him to realise that jealousy was a common emotion, such as the fact that he was occasionally jealous of Ivan's class privileges and the fact that he did not have to study much to get good grades.

Ron might just have a weak sense of control.

"Then I'll go to him!" he said, standing up after a few bites of rice.

Ivan saw Harry's determination and did not try to stop him.

After he left, Ivan turned to the young witch and asked, "Hermione, do you have a moment? I need your help with a spell."

Hermione hesitated. She had a lot on her plate in the near future.

For example, studying for a book given by Ivan, or looking up the history of house-elves.

Even so, the little witch was quick to nod in agreement and asked curiously, "What kind of magic is it, and is it related to the Triwizard Cup?"

"No, it has nothing to do with the game…" Ivan shook his head, then hesitated.

"Also, this spell might be a little special… I wonder if you mind."

In Ivan's opinion, memory is a person's most private and most important thing, and most people tend to have embarrassing moments in their lives, and it is inevitable that they will develop dark, uncomfortable thoughts about being known…

If he had been asked to practise Legilimency, Ivan would never have agreed, even if he had to take out the transmigration, the system, and other factors.

"Special? Is it dangerous?" Hermione was surprised at Ivan's hesitation.

"No, there's no danger. It's just that when I cast the spell, I might see some of your secrets…" Ivan ventured cautiously.

Privacy? Hermione's mind went blank, and she dropped the spoon she was holding, thinking she had misheard.

It took a while for the little witch to react. She bent down in a panic to pick up the spoon, but she bumped into the corner of the table…

Ivan realised the ambiguity in his words and coughed to clear the air, but he was interrupted.

"I've never heard of such a thing!" Hermione exclaimed, her face flushing from her cheeks to her ears. She looked around frantically and noticed that her shouting had attracted even more attention.

"I'm going to the library!" Not giving Ivan a chance to explain, Hermione grabbed the books on the table and left.

Yvonne was baffled by Hermione's reaction.

Do you have to? Even if you don't agree, just say it…

"Hales!"

Ivan didn't know whether to laugh or cry when a gentle voice came from nearby.

As soon as Ivan turned around, he saw a large group of young wizards, presumably Hufflepuff students, surrounding them.

And in the lead is Cedric!

Hermione, who was about to leave, stopped in her tracks, ignoring the incident, as it was clear that these people were up to no good.

"Cedric, you wanted to see me?" Ivan asked calmly as the students gathered around him.

"Yes! It's about the champions!" Cedric nodded, looking embarrassed, but he had no choice but to continue.

"I'm trying to understand the difference between us, and why the Goblet of Fire chose you to be the Warrior of Hogwarts when you weren't old enough, so… please have a go at me, Hales!"

When Cedric finished speaking, the Hufflepuff students behind him roared with excitement.

"Yes! Whoever wins will be the champion!"

"A fair match, Cedric will not lose!"

"Cedric is the true champion of Hogwarts!"

When the selection of champions was announced at the feast yesterday, the Hufflepuff wizards were the most unhappy with the outcome.

After all, they had been so certain that Cedric would be the champion of Hogwarts!

After all, Cedric's grades were the best among his contemporaries, and he was also Hufflepuff's prefect, making him the most approachable student in the school.

Hufflepuff House had kept a low profile for too long, and desperately needed the glory of a champion!

Who would have thought that the Goblet of Fire would choose two champions from Gryffindor, both under the age of seventeen and in their fourth year?

This led them to suspect that Ivan and Harry had somehow managed to steal Cedric's place in the Warrior squad!

It was for this reason that the Hufflepuff students, who had always disliked noise, came to the Great Hall en masse.

They had hoped to find a weaker Harry as a more secure opponent.

Who would have thought that Harry would have heard something and run away in fear without even eating!

Such desertion is contemptible!

Thus, they changed their target to Ivan.

Even so, they were confident that Cedric would win!

"Didn't you hear Professor Dumbledore? Once a champion is chosen, it can't be changed…and there are so many of you. If the Professor sees you, Hufflepuff will lose points!" Hermione stepped forward, placing herself between Ivan and Cedric.

However, the Hufflepuff wizards showed no signs of backing down, and each and every one of them had a determined look on their faces, as if Ivan would not leave until he did.

The disturbance in the Great Hall attracted more and more attention, and many young wizards joined in the fun, forming a larger circle around the Great Hall.

The young Gryffindor wizards, who did not seem to think much of the situation, made a show of supporting Ivan in teaching Cedric a lesson that he deserved.

Undeterred by their words, Cedric fixed his gaze on Ivan. "Well, will you, Harls?"

"Okay! No problem!" Ivan agreed without hesitation, and then asked kindly, "Do you need to go somewhere private?"

A public duel was glorious for the winner, but humiliating for the loser.

Of course, Ivan was not worried about losing, but about Cedric's pride!

"No, let's do it here!" Cedric shook his head, rejecting Ivan's suggestion.
