Chapter 543 - What Kind of Magic Is This?

"Let's go!" Ivan said, casting a final glance at the fallen Galleon before disappearing with Doggett.

Some time after Ivan's departure, the elder Rozier raised his head apprehensively, looked around, breathed a slow sigh of relief, and made to stand up.

However, when he got up, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his waist.

"Ssss ~"

He grimaced as he looked down and saw that there was a small cut on the side of the wizard's robe that was bleeding profusely.

Due to his fear and anger, he did not notice it at all. Now that he had relaxed and pulled the wound, the stinging pain returned.

Holding his wound and enduring the pain, the old Rosier walked up to the house-elf and kicked him.

"Are you dead, Ral? If not, get up!"

The old Rosier kicked the sleepy house-elf hard enough to wake him up and order him to treat his wounds.

The poor slave was almost killed, but he did not dare to complain. Trembling, he put his hand against the old Rosier's wound and began to perform magic. However, when his finger brushed across the wound, it had no effect.

"Are you toying with me?" Rossier Senior glared at it, his pent-up anger threatening to explode.

Shaking her head in horror, the house-elf tried to explain, "Master, Ral… Ral did his best!"

Old Rosier stared at it for a while, and when he saw the fear in Lars's eyes and the tears running down his face, he believed that Lars would not have the courage to lie to him.

He took another look at the bleeding wound and thought better of it. He turned his attention to the gold Galleons scattered across the floor.

"Lar, I command you to restore the Golden Galleon with the Repair Charm!" Rosier Senior ventured.

Not daring to disobey his master's command, the house-elf sobbed and reached out with his right index finger again, and a white light appeared on the tip of his finger.

The damaged Galleon on the ground seemed to have been wrapped in some mysterious force, and it slowly floated up and came together.

Curiously, however, the cracks in the middle did not heal, and when the magic faded, they fell to the ground and broke in half.

"I'm sorry… Master… Ral can't do it… Ral can't do it!" the house-elf said in a trembling voice. Then, like all the other elves who had done something wrong, she picked up a small wooden stick from the ground and hit herself over the head, as punishment for her incompetence.

"Bad Lar… bad elf!" the house-elf screamed as he fought.

Rosier simply ignored it, squatted down, and picked up one of the halves of the Galleons.

"What kind of magic is this?" Rossier muttered to himself as his face fell and a chill ran down his spine.

The magic that Ivan had just cast seemed to be more terrifying than he had imagined. Not only was it wide and penetrative, but it also had an inexplicable barrier that could prevent wounds from healing!

This meant that if one was injured by such a spell and did not have the appropriate antidote, the wound would never heal. Even if one did not die on the spot, they would bleed to death in the next few days…

The thought sent a shiver down old Rosier's spine, and he hurried to find Ivan and ask him to undo the spell.

However, the old Rozier soon stopped in his tracks. He suddenly realized that with the other party's strength and control, it was impossible for them to accidentally injure him. If they were willing to undo his curse, they would have done so long ago!

Then there was only one possibility. The wound had been inflicted deliberately, to punish him for his earlier transgressions!

After all, the wound was not big. If they treated it in an emergency, it would not bleed to death in a day.

When he conquered the Wizarding Market tomorrow afternoon, it would be time to undo the curse!

Rosier shook his head wryly and ordered the house-elf to collect the Galleons and bring him back to the manor.

He needed to treat the wound as soon as possible.

Lars was not very bright, but he was very agile. He threw down the stick that was used to punish him, tore the rags on his body into a bag, and stuffed the gold Galleon inside.

Rossier Senior looked at it, then shook his head and sighed.

He had thought no one could resist the charm of money, which was why he had tried to sound Ivan out.

However, it made sense. Such a young wizard must have had higher ambitions. How could he be as vulgar as him…

"Looks like not everyone likes money! I'll have to try something else next time." Rosier sighed as he dragged the house-elf, Ral, away.

Meanwhile, Doggett, back at the Dark Arts shop, looks at Ivan with admiration. "You did good back there! I'm sure the old thing will behave himself after that…"

"I hope so…" Ivan said casually, rolling his eyes.

If it weren't for Doggett's over-the-top bragging, putting him on a level with the Dark Lord, he wouldn't have bothered to put on a show of self-importance, to the point where he would have been ashamed to squat down and pick up money…
