Chapter 527 - Doggett: Harls's Strength and Scheme are Unfathomable

Speechless, Doggett was quick to accept this.

He had also heard of the special Animagus. He heard that a certain young lady who was undergoing Auror training was an extraordinary Transfiguration Magus, who could change her appearance at will without having to learn how to do so.

Although Ivan's transformation seems more special than that…

Alicia didn't dwell too much on Ivan's ability to transform. After a brief moment of surprise, she turned to Dougett and asked him a serious question.

"What about the Nott family wizard we caught from the manor, Dougatt? Did he talk?"

"The man was very stubborn and refused to say anything. I had to knock him out and use a truth potion to get him to talk," Douget explained with a sneer before continuing.

"However, he may have some use for them. These diehards could be used to impress young Ivan!"

Me? Establishing dominance? Yvonne was so confused that she had no idea what Dougett was talking about.

"You did a good job before, and you managed to impress them as soon as you got back, which saved us a lot of trouble…" Dougett looked at Ivan with admiration.

Aside from planning how to crush the last of the resistance at Knockturn Alley, he and Alicia spent the last few days discussing how to create an opportunity for Ivan to integrate into the group!

Ivan was, after all, too young to be trusted.

Nobody wants to listen to a thirteen-year-old kid, let alone be loyal…

He and Alicia even discussed delaying Ivan's appearance for a few years.

However, Ivan did more than Doggett expected, and before they had a chance to work out a plan, Ivan was able to do it on his own, and even better than they had expected!

The sight of the wreckage, the blood, the four frightened Dark Wizards, and Ivan's tender form was a shock to behold!

As soon as he saw this, Doggett suspected that Ivan was deliberately trying to show off his power. How else could there be such a coincidence?

His only regret was that Ivan did not show everyone exactly how he did it.

Although this added a bit of mystery to him and made him even more intimidating, there would always be people who would doubt whether a young wizard could have such extraordinary strength, so it was important to strike while the iron was hot and once again establish his might, shattering these people's fantasies.

Doggett considered this as he handed Ivan a piece of parchment that he had been keeping in his robes.

"I've got everyone's details here. You can take a look at them first!" said Doggett.

Yvonne looked at the parchment and saw that it was full of names, thirty-seven of them. There was also a note beside the names, either in detail or in shorthand, which included Fran's name.

Ivan immediately understood that these people were part of Alicia's fight against the Wizarding Market!

Although thirty-seven was a small number, the Auror Division of the Ministry of Magic did not even have a hundred members, and most of them were wizards who could not even cast the Shield Charm.

There are no more than three thousand registered British wizards and witches in the Ministry of Magic, and fewer than four thousand unregistered Dark Wizards!

This was, of course, mainly because the last Wizarding War had lasted over a decade, and too many wizards had died.

Some pure-blood families, which had been around for hundreds and thousands of years, had only a handful of surviving members, and faced immediate extinction if their heirs died, not to mention those who were half-blood and Muggle.

Ivan shook his head at the thought. There were so few wizards, and they were so slow to replenish the ranks.

Ivan then flipped to the back of the parchment, where several other names were written, presumably those of the four Dark Wizards who had surrendered, and the Death Eaters of the Notte family.

To Ivan's slight surprise, there was another name written on the bottom in black ink.

"Elver Grint…" Ivan said, remembering that Walker had called out for Elver before. He looked at Alicia for confirmation. "The one who died?"

"Yes, that's him!" Acia nodded, frustrated. This was the third victim in as many months.

If she had not given everyone a protective ring, many more people would have died…

"It says here he had a family living in Knockturn Alley?" Ivan asked, noting that Elfe Grint had a mother in her sixties.

"Well, the family lived in poverty in Knockturn Alley, so Elfe was one of the first to join when we tried to recruit her."

"Any pensions?" Ivan persisted.

"We usually give a hundred Galleons as a pension if the victim has any living relatives!" Alicia explained.

"A little less…" Ivan shook his head. He had been in the wizarding world for several years, and he had a good idea of the prices.
