Chapter 521 - The Large Wizarding World Can't Take in a Small Shop That Saves Money?

There was only one method of restricting large-scale fire in Ivan's mind, and that was to end all curses!

If they worked together, they could even suppress a fierce fire that could destroy a city, and if he remembered correctly, Nick Flamel knew how to do it.

Yvonne let out a slow breath at the thought, then closed the book and placed it back on the shelf.

He was very interested in the Black family's collection, but he had been here for four days to destroy the Horcruxes, so it was time to go!

After a hearty lunch with Sirius, Lupin, and Harry at noon, Ivan announced that he was returning home that afternoon.

"So soon? Won't you stay a few more days? I haven't had a chance to thank you for Regulus," Sirius said, surprised.

Ivan shook his head and declined Sirius's offer.

The promised meeting with Nick Flamel was only a few days away. He did not have much time to spend at home with Alicia, and it would not be wise to delay.

Seeing Ivan's insistence, Sirius did not try to stop him, as it was easy for wizards like them to see each other.

'So, do you want to use the fireplace? I seem to remember there's still some Floo powder left… I'll see where I can put it.' Sirius thought for a moment, then crouched down and pulled open a cupboard in the living room.

"Forget it! My mother put a spell on the fireplace at home, so I can't teleport there. I'll just Apparate there myself!" Ivan called out to Sirius, shrugged helplessly, and pointed his wand at the stairs.

"The suitcase is flying!"

Moments later, a small suitcase flew unsteadily down the stairs and landed in Ivan's hand.

After checking that nothing was missing, Ivan turned to Dobby and said, "Let's go, Dobby! I can introduce you to my mother…"

Dobby gave a sharp nod of his head, clearly pleased that this meant he was officially part of his master's family.

"Disillusionment!"

After a brief farewell, the man and elf performed magic and disappeared.

By the time Ivan regained his balance and looked around, he was on the corner of Knockturn Alley, near his wizarding shop.

However, the shop was closed and it seemed that Alicia was not at home.

Even more disturbing to Ivan was the fact that the street was completely empty, and the doors and windows of the nearby houses were all closed.

Ivan frowned, remembering his return to Knockturn Alley the previous summer.

However, this should not be the case. Ivan was confident that he had dealt with all the potential threats, and that Flun and the others were responsible for protecting the shop.

A large group of werewolf wizards who could transform freely was an extremely powerful force in Knockturn Alley. Normally, no one would be stupid enough to provoke them.

Yvonne hurried to the door and swung it open.

Crack!

There was a slow click of a bolt, then the front door flew open and several beams of black light flew out.

Ivan instinctively activated his protective ring, and an invisible barrier of magic appeared in front of him, deflecting the beam of black light and sending it crashing into the ground, eroding a large crater.

"A trap for me? No, that can't be right!" Ivan exclaimed as he entered the shop, noting that there were no signs of a major battle in the shop, and that all the items were in order, with several triggering spells placed on the shelves.

This should have been set up by Alicia as a warning to the unwelcoming guests before she left, as she was familiar with the trap-setting technique.

In addition, if there was really an ambush, a group of people should have rushed out to surround him. This little bit of magic could not possibly do anything to him.

But where had Alicia gone? And why had she left this warning spell in the shop?

Ivan had a vague feeling that something was off, and then he thought of something and opened the system's taskbar.

[Mission: Become the King of Knockturn Alley

Objective: Unify Knockturn Alley (Second Ring Road)

Task Progress: 44%

Task Reward: Fidelius Charm

Task description: …]

As Ivan watched the mission progress, it jumped again, from forty-four percent to forty-five percent.

Seeing the progress of the mission increase once again, to the point of being more than halfway through, Ivan suddenly understood that his time at school had not been peaceful in Knockturn Alley.

He guessed that it was because he had led his men to destroy Burke and the other Dark Wizards, and because his power had grown too quickly, he had aroused the fear of some.

It is possible that the mission's progress bar was increased in order to protect herself by confronting the opposition and gaining an advantage.

After thinking it through, Ivan could not help but feel a little annoyed. Originally, he and Alicia were going to move out of the dangerous Knockturn Alley and live in the relative safety of Diagon Alley this summer, but he did not expect someone to be prepared to cause trouble for them at this juncture.
