Chapter 480 - Who Isn't a Drama Queen?

Madam Peter was used to this hellish scene. However, when she thought about how her child had been locked up for seven days, her heart ached…

"You'd better hurry, I'm only giving you ten minutes!" the Auror snapped at Mrs. Peter after opening the cell door.

Although they were paid, no normal person would want to stay in such a place for too long. They would definitely lose their mind and become crazy and stupid…

At this thought, the Auror cast a pitying glance at Pettigrew.

Pettigrew was curled up in a ball, trembling uncontrollably and mumbling unintelligible things. He did not even react when his mother, Mrs Peter, came in.

Aurors knew exactly what had happened. The poor man's memory had been wiped with a Memory Charm, and he had been tortured by the Dementors, so he probably didn't remember anything.

Death may be a relief…

Aurors sighed with emotion.

However, despite his sympathy, he stood his ground and kept an eye on them out of consideration for his duties.

Unable to bear it any longer, Mrs Peter leaned over the dwarf and whispered to him about family matters, perhaps hoping to jog his memory.

"Well, it's about time, Madam, we should be going!" the Auror said ten minutes later, steeling himself to interrupt their meeting.

"Sir… give it some time… please!" Mrs. Peter sobbed.

Aurors shook their heads. It wasn't that they didn't want to, but it was time for Pettigrew's execution!

As expected, during this short delay, two more Aurors walked over. When they saw this situation, they felt a little helpless.

After a private discussion, the three Aurors forcibly pulled Mrs Peter away, who was reluctant to leave.

When dealing with ordinary criminals, Aurors did not need to interfere. The entire process was left to the Dementors.

Pettigrew, on the other hand, was a rare criminal who could use an Animagus, putting Dementors at risk and requiring Aurors to supervise the entire process to ensure that he died from a Dementor kiss!

Not to mention the fact that the magical handcuffs on Pettigrew's hands were very precious and could block the flow of magic, and required someone to retrieve them!

As she watched the dwarf being forcibly pulled away, Mrs Peter fell to her knees and wailed.

The Auror shook his head and sighed, then softened and whispered a few words of comfort.

"Madam, we should go!"

Mrs Peter wiped the tears from her eyes and nodded, trembling.

Reluctantly, Aurors turned to lead the way.

However, just as he turned around, Mrs Peter's eyes suddenly sharpened. She swung her walking stick and said fiercely!

"Stupefy!"

A low, gravelly voice sounded in the corridor outside the cell.

The Auror reacted as soon as he heard the voice, but Mrs Peter's disguise had caused him to lower his guard, and he did not expect the Auror to attack.

He was also wearing protective gloves on his right hand, which, unfortunately, required one to look him in the eye to be effective…

After knocking out the Auror, Mrs Peter took out a potion-filled potion from her pocket, plucked a strand of hair from the Auror's head, put it in the potion, waited for the potion to change colour, and drank it!

The next moment, the Polyjuice Potion began to take effect, and Mrs Peter's face contorted as she slowly pulled herself up and out of shape…

When this change gradually stabilized, Mrs Peter immediately felt that her new body was so young… strong… energetic!

Even his blurred vision brightened.

Considering that time was limited, Madam Peter took a short while to adapt. She quickly took off the Aurors' clothes, threw them back into the empty cell, and rushed to the execution ground!

From what she could gather, her child had been executed at noon, which meant there were at most ten minutes left!

With only Dementors guarding the interior of Azkaban, Madam Peter's journey was clear,

After all, these creatures could not see through the Polyjuice Potion's disguise, and the Aurors were stationed on the island's observation deck. They would not have come to this place full of Dementors to suffer for no reason.

This made Mrs Peter's task much easier, and she was able to reach the field before noon.

The execution took place on an empty plain, in the middle of which Pettigrew was pinned down by two Aurors. The sky over the island was dark, and countless Dementors wandered excitedly through the clouds, waiting to feast.

Consuming souls was considered extremely evil by wizards and witches, so prisoners in Azkaban were rarely executed, and Dementors often went years without an opportunity to do so, becoming restless.

Each and every one of them wanted to fight for the chance to absorb souls…

However, they did not dare to do so without orders, and kept their distance…

The two Aurors standing below grumbled under their breath. Even though the Dementors did not have the courage to absorb their emotions, they felt cold and uncomfortable just standing there.

As they complained, they noticed Mrs Peter walking towards them.

"What are you doing here, Jack?" a tall, thin Auror asked with a frown.

"It's all because of that damned old woman just now. She insisted that I give the prisoner a pair of socks that she had worn before, saying that they would make life better down there…" Peter was very experienced and easily came up with a reason.

"What nonsense is this? Why haven't I heard of such rumors…" The tall and thin Auror shook his head speechlessly, then looked suspiciously at Madam Peter and continued.

"Honestly, how much did you charge him?"

"How many do you expect that old woman to have? At most, she'll only have a dozen Galleons!" Madam Peter pretended to be disdainful.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk… You're really ruthless!" The other Auror looked at his colleague as if he was scum.

The tall, skinny Auror was a little suspicious. Although Jack usually liked to take small advantages, he was not so cruel as to take money from an old witch who was about to lose her child.

"Two Galleons each. Do me a favor and help me do this disgusting thing, okay? That old woman said that I have to put it on him!"

Madam Peter took out the smelly sock and asked with a look of disgust.
