Chapter 470 - The Missing Cloak

While thinking about this, Ivan left the pub and was surprised to find that Harry had not gone too far and was lying in a dark corner.

"Harry! Why are you here alone, and where are Sirius and the others?" Yvonne asked quietly, approaching him.

Harry seemed to regain his composure. He looked at Ivan but did not reply.

"Everyone's out there looking for you! Professor Dumbledore didn't mean any harm by what he said. He was trying to protect you… after all, you're not like everyone else. You have a mortal enemy out there," Ivan said, leaning against the wall.

Harry nodded, aware that Ivan was talking about Lord Voldemort and understanding Dumbledore's good intentions, but unable to control his emotions and deliberately avoiding Sirius and the others, wanting to be left alone…

However, considering that his friends might still be worried about him, Harry decided to let it go and followed Ivan back to the Three Broomsticks.

Dumbledore then sent Fox to fetch Sirius and the others,

Sirius, who had been informed of Harry's return, offered words of comfort rather than blame.

Even if they couldn't move in with each other during the summer holidays, they could still see each other often without any trouble.

'If they try to bully you again, let me know and I'll teach them a lesson!' Sirius promised, thumping his chest.

"Yes! We'll cheer you on, too!" Hermione agreed.

As Harry watched them, his annoyance was swept away, and his summer life was perhaps not as bad as he had imagined…

Not wishing to celebrate any further, and seeing that it was getting late, they made their way back to the castle from Hogsmeade.

Knowing that something was wrong with Dumbledore, Ivan's leisurely attitude became urgent once again, and increasing his strength became his top priority!

The fastest way, of course, was to fuse a new bloodline!

However, it was not easy to obtain Legendary Points. He had done a lot of things recently, but other than the First-Class Merlin's Medal, he was afraid that he would not be able to obtain Legendary Points.

Since this was not going to work, Ivan had no choice but to take the stupid option of studying hard!

As a result, Harry and Ron, who had just returned to the Gryffindor Lounge, watched in astonishment as Yvonne took out a number of books, placed them on the table, and began perusing them.

Harry and Ron were so shocked that they wondered if they had been transported to the future. Were they supposed to take their final exams tomorrow?

"It's almost the end of term. If I were you, I'd read as many books as Ivan!" Hermione said as she picked up one of the books.

"But I don't remember having to take these…" Ron glanced at the titles and pursed his lips.

"High-level spell-solving?" Hermione finally got a good look at the titles of the books in front of her, and then looked at the others in surprise.

Advance in Magical Theory, How to Protect Your Brain, Standard Spells, Level Seven, Dangerous Rating of Magical Creatures, Curses and Counter-Curses…

"Ivan, are you preparing for your N.E.W.T. exam? Are you planning to graduate this year? No, you don't have to read these books even if you want to, do you?" Harry asked.

"I have no intention of skipping a grade or graduating. I just suddenly feel that my magic level needs to be improved and strengthened!"

Ivan listened as the system prompt sounded in his ear. He closed the copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Level 7 worriedly.

Perhaps it was because his Transfiguration had broken through to Level 6, but the benefits of reading the book were minimal, with little growth.

It was, however, a weak point that made up for the lack of other charms.

Ivan knew exactly what he needed right now. Due to his previous focus on the study and practice of blood magic, his basic charm theory had not been upgraded for a long time, which was a dangerous sign.

If one did not have a solid foundation and did not understand the principles of a spell, one would only know how it happened but not how it happened…

Ivan's reflection, however, turned into horror in the eyes of Harry and Ron…

You want to improve?!

Ron stared at Ivan as if he were some sort of monster. In his opinion, Ivan was so powerful that even the Hogwarts professors were no match for him.

In the beginning, even Professor Lupin was unable to drive away hundreds of Dementors.

Harry could not quite understand why Ivan was trying so hard.

Ron noticed that there were several Dark Arts books in the pile and frowned. "What are you doing reading Dark Arts?"

"If we don't know anything about the Dark Arts, how are we supposed to defend against it?" Ivan asked, glancing at Ron.

Ron was left speechless.

Ivan ignored him and turned to Harry. After a moment's hesitation, he threw a book at him.

"Harry! It always pays to learn, and to know that when it comes to the crunch, the only thing that will protect you is yourself…"

"I'd rather wait until after the Quidditch match. I'm not in the mood."

Harry shook his head and looked at the cover of the book, which read "Power of the Mind — How to Protect Your Brain."

Harry had little interest in reading, let alone such extracurricular books that had nothing to do with exams.

Ivan shrugged, but didn't say anything. He was just being nice.

In the end, only Hermione stayed behind to read with Ivan, while Harry and Ron discussed the upcoming Quidditch match.

It was not until after ten o'clock that everyone returned to their dormitories to get ready for bed.

"It's over!" Harry screamed as he took off his robe and fumbled with it.

"What's the matter, Harry?" Ron, who had just lain down, asked curiously as he got up, yawning.

Ivan also put down his book.

"The Invisibility Cloak I brought with me is gone!" Harry was frantic.

This morning, considering the possibility of Sirius's downfall, he took the Cloak of Invisibility with him and hid it in a compartment of his robe.

Now, however, it was nowhere to be found…

"I told you not to bring anything!" Ivan shook his head in exasperation.

"Harry, are you sure it's really gone? Is it possible that it's just the Cloak of Invisibility and that's why we can't see it?" Ron speculated.

(PS: Looks like I won't be able to finish the third chapter today, maybe tomorrow…)
