Chapter 424 - Scabbers!

"This is the Shrieking Shack, which is quite famous in Hogsmeade…" Ivan explained, but was interrupted by Ron.

"I've heard of it! Some of the senior students say it was once haunted, that it used to howl like a banshee in the middle of the night… that's why they call it the Screaming Shack."

Harry shuddered at Ron's words, and wondered why Ivan had brought them to this place.

"That's just hearsay. The Screaming Shack isn't haunted. The howling is for other reasons…" Ivan explained casually, then turned to look around for Harry.

"I've brought you here to solve Harry's problem!"

"Me?" Harry pulled off his Invisibility Cloak and pointed at himself in confusion, while Ron and Hermione were equally confused.

"Yes, to be precise, to clear up a misunderstanding, when in fact the betrayal…" Ivan began, and was about to give them a detailed explanation when his sharp eyes caught sight of something grayish-black that had suddenly come out of Ron's pocket.

Ron immediately sensed that something was wrong, and when he looked down, he saw his beloved mouse frantically scurrying away.

"Scabbers… where are you going, Scabbers!" Ron yelled, throwing himself at Scabbers as he tried to catch him, only to miss.

After dodging Ron, the grayish-black rat tried even harder to escape, its paws leaving afterimages behind.

Peter was terrified. After Ivan knocked him out cold, he was woken up by the noise and the commotion, and before he knew what was happening, he heard Ivan talking.

Harry and the others did not understand what Ivan was trying to say, but Peter did, and although he did not know how Ivan had learned of this, or whether he had come into contact with Sirius, it was always a good idea to run!

Seeing that the exit was right in front of him and the bright sunlight shining down from the outside, a long-lost smile appeared on Peter's face, and he slowly relaxed.

"Scabbers coming!"

However, a voice shattered Peter's fantasy, and Ivan calmly waved his wand.

Peter, who was only one step away from successfully escaping the Shrieking Shack, felt his body being pulled by a certain force in despair.

Unwilling to give up, Peter dug his claws into the rotten wood of the floor, leaving scratch marks on it.

Unfortunately, the power of magic was not something that a mere rat could resist. No matter how unwilling Peter was, it was useless. His body quickly flew back the way he came…

Ivan skillfully pinched its tail and lifted Scabbers into the air. He couldn't help but sigh in his heart. Summoning a wizard in the form of an Animagus took a lot of energy.

It must have something to do with the abundance of magic in Scabbers,

Fortunately, Peter was very small at the moment, or Ivan suspected that his magic might not have worked…

Of course, even if he did not attack, Peter would not be able to escape.

Ivan has arranged for Dobby to be in the background at all times, in case of an accident like the one in the original dimension. With this layer of security, it is almost impossible to go wrong…

Scabbers reacted violently to being grabbed by the tail and tried to scratch and bite Ivan's fingers to get him to put him down.

Ivan, however, did not give it the chance to do so. With a gentle flick of his wrist, he flung the rat in the air, and Scabbers was unable to touch his wrist no matter how hard he tried.

After many fruitless attempts, Peter fell into a deep despair.

However, without a wand in his hand, Peter had no intention of turning back into a wizard. When the other party was on guard, the chances of a reckless attack were almost zero. It was better to remain in his rat form.

Peter still had some unrealistic hope that they might not know who he was…

"Ivan, thank you so much… I don't know what's gotten into Patchball lately, but he's been so cranky!" Ron complained as he approached, reaching out to scratch Patchball.

Ivan backed away from Ron's hand, warning him, "For your own safety, it would be better if I had this mouse for now…"

"Safe? What are you talking about? Scabbers won't bite me." Ron didn't look happy.

"You'd better listen to him. Peter has been lurking around you for so many years. You're only alive because you're lucky!"

Harry and the others shivered at the sound of a deep, hoarse voice, and turned to see a large black dog jumping down from the dais.

A dog? A talking black dog?

Ron's mind went blank and he stumbled back in shock.

Harry was thinking more about the dog, which he had seen many times before, wandering around him and, according to Professor Trelawney's prophecy, dying and having bad omens.

"You shouldn't have come out at this hour, at least not until I've explained things to them!" Ivan complained to the dog.

"Didn't you tell them before? Anyway, I've been waiting too long…" The large black dog shook his head humanely, his gaze lingering on Harry for a moment before turning to the grey rat in Ivan's hand.

Peter knew he was doomed when he saw the dog, and he hung limp in midair.

As everyone watched, Sirius gradually transformed from a black dog into a wizard…

With Ivan's help, Sirius was no longer as unkempt as he had been before.

He was well-dressed, and his black hair was obviously well-groomed. It was his ten years in prison that made him look haggard. His eyes were sunken, but his handsome face was still there.

"W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W-W

'Harry, we meet officially at last!' Sirius exclaimed.

Harry, after a brief period of astonishment, was overcome with anger and pointed his wand at Sirius.

"Yes, we finally meet! You betrayed my father and now you're going to kill me? I'm not afraid of you!"

Harry then turned to Ivan, his eyes full of disappointment and confusion, his body shaking slightly, as he had never expected to be betrayed by his best friend, as his father had been.
