Chapter 381 - Sirius_1 Infiltrating the Castle

After dinner, instead of returning to the Gryffindor Lounge with Harry and the others, Ivan found a reason to head to the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor to brew a new Bloodline Fusion Potion.

After his previous two attempts at brewing the potion, Ivan was very familiar with the process. He handled the ingredients Dobby had bought and placed them in the cauldron.

As a result, he no longer needed to use GPA to temporarily improve his potion-making skills while brewing the Bloodline-Fusion Potion.

Within half an hour, the cauldron's mixture began to boil under the influence of magic, and Ivan, seeing that it was enough, covered the cauldron to prevent any debris from falling in and affecting the potion.

Given the number of days it would take for the ingredients to fuse and settle, Ivan did not remain in the Room of Requirement. Instead, he instructed Dobby to keep an eye on the place and then searched the castle for Boggart.

The Boggart in the staffroom had already been destroyed by the wizards, so Ivan had to find another target.

If he remembered correctly, there were other Boggarts in the school, the one that Lupin had used to train Harry in the art of guarding the gods, but Ivan had long forgotten its exact location.

After all, after so many years, Ivan could not remember details that he would not have paid attention to at the time.

If worse came to worst, he would have to write a letter to Fran or Alicia asking them to buy him one or catch one and send it to them…

Ivan spent the next few days brewing the potion and searching for Boggart, who was having an unusually smooth journey and was getting closer to the official completion of the potion.

However, the latter made things difficult for Ivan. He visited all the convenient places in Hogwarts except the professors' offices and staff rooms, but Boggart was nowhere to be found.

"Do we really have to search every professor's office?" Ivan asked, feeling a headache coming on. This was not a good idea. There was nowhere else to look. Boggart couldn't be hiding in a secret passage…

The other thing that struck Ivan as odd was the fact that the old professor seemed to have vanished from school after Ivan swapped the damaged Time-Turner with Dumbledore, as he had not seen Dumbledore's name on the Marauder's Map for days.

Yvonne was lost in her thoughts until she was interrupted by Ron and Harry talking about Quidditch in the dormitory.

Harry turned to Yvonne as she entered the room.

"Ivan, when we were practising Quidditch this morning, Captain Wood asked me to give you a message, asking if you would still like to play in this year's Quidditch competition. It's not too late to sign up!

Wood says he's leaving next year, so he doesn't want to have any regrets about his last Quidditch match…"

"I should have told you guys not to play this year, and with me, Gryffindor will have one more player!" Ivan said, rolling his eyes.

He had been running out of time for the past few days. In addition to his classes, he had to spend hours searching for Boggart.

Harry shrugged, not caring. He was just passing on a message for Wood.

After a long day's work, Ivan, who was already tired, did not talk much to Harry and the others. He lay in bed and soon fell asleep.

Before going to bed, however, Ivan had a vague feeling that he had been forgetting something lately.

At midnight, in front of the quiet Gryffindor lounge,

The Fat Lady was humming to herself in front of the mirror in the painting, idly tidying her hair.

At that moment, a deep, masculine voice sounded.

"Could you please open the door and let me in?"

"Password!" The fat lady, who did not hear very well, stopped what she was doing and prepared to see which little wizard was annoying enough to go on a midnight excursion.

However, when she turned around and saw who it was, her narrowed eyes widened and her body trembled.

Sirius, however, was quicker. He quickly raised his hand and a white light hit the portrait. The look of terror on the Fat Lady's face disappeared and she became very confused.

After a moment's hesitation, the Fat Lady regains her composure, and under the influence of the Confusion Charm, Sirius is transformed into a minor wizard.

"Why are you wandering around so late at night? Don't expect me to let you in without a password!" the Fat Lady scolded with her hands on her hips and a frown on her face.

'Um… let's see, today's password is Fairyland Light!' Sirius replied, pulling a slip of paper out of his wizarding robes and reading it.

"Okay! Go in! Remember to get an early night…" The Fat Lady nodded, and the door to Gryffindor's dormitory opened a crack.

"Of course, Madam! And you too…" Sirius inclined his head in acknowledgement, then opened the door and walked in, as relaxed as if he were a tourist.

However, Sirius was able to move more quickly after entering the dormitory, and even though he managed to sneak in through the secret passage, he was unable to conceal himself completely, and was likely to be seen by some of the portraits along the way.

The only reason he snuck in was because he couldn't wait any longer!

He wandered around Hogwarts for a whole month waiting for Ivan to come to him, so Sirius was worried that Ivan was in trouble, or had simply forgotten about it.

Sirius felt he had to warn her!

It was also thanks to an interesting ginger cat that was willing to keep watch for him while he was scouting the other day.

Recently, the cat even gave him a piece of paper, which contained a week-long password for the Gryffindor Lounge, which made his day much easier.

Although he could fool the Fat Lady with the Confunding Charm, the password in front of the lounge door had to be answered or the door would not open!

"This should be it, right?" Sirius sneaked around until he found Ivan's room.

"Alohomora!" Sirius whispered, holding his wand against the door.

Sirius made it through the door without incident, his dark grey eyes scanning the room for Ivan's bed, but they stopped on Ron's bed!

Sirius's face contorted, and even in the dimness of the night, the first thing he saw was the large grey rat snoozing at his bedside…

It was Peter Pettigrew, the man he had been thinking about day and night and wishing he could rip out his bones!
