Ivan looked at the book's cover, which showed seven goblins and giants fighting over a Muggle princess.
It is unknown which wizard plagiarised the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and magically altered it into this.
Are you sure this dark fairy tale and children's evil books are for children?
However, the fact that it was sold here meant that the content of the book was not out of line. There should not be anything strange about it.
"I don't think I'll need one, sir!" Ivan refused without hesitation, although he knew in his heart that it was an unhelpful suggestion.
In fact, this was not the first time the landlady had reminded him of this, as she had tried to persuade him to read some basic books while he was reading.
Ivan was frustrated by this, and after a moment's thought, he pulled out his wand and tapped it against the book.
To the surprise of the couple, the book, wrapped in magic, slowly transformed into a toad, which lolled there with its cheeks bulging and an unpleasant gurgling sound coming from its stomach…
Transfiguring a grimoire was difficult, but Ivan found it easy, as only the cover of this storybook, The Muggle Princess and the Seven Fairies, had been enchanted.
"This is three Galleons and eleven Sickles. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave… Also, thank you for taking care of me these past few days!" Ivan said politely as he placed the money on the table.
Behind him, the manager and his wife surrounded the toad with strange looks on their faces as they realised that they could not change the book back.
They would have to wait for the book's magic to wear off, and then lock it in a cage to prevent it from escaping.
…
Back at the house, Ivan considered his options and decided it was time to deal with the Horcrux problem.
He needed a spell called Fire to destroy the Horcrux!
After hiding Tom Riddle's diary in his room, Ivan went to the kitchen to find Alicia, who was busy cooking dinner.
"Mother, can you show me how to release a fierce fire?"
Asia stopped controlling the kitchen, and the kitchenware began to fall out of the air, but she didn't care.
"Li Huo? Why are you learning this?"
"I've heard that fierce fire is a very powerful magic, and the last time I saw you use it, you burned all the dummies in the practice room." Ivan pretended to be extremely interested, and tried to convince her that he wanted to learn this magic.
This was how Ivan learned about the Thunderbolt Explosion…
To Ivan's surprise, Alicia refused his request without hesitation.
In her opinion, Fire was an extremely dangerous and evil form of Dark Magic, not something Ivan should be learning at the moment.
Yvonne was speechless. Wasn't the Thunderbolt Explosion she had learnt dangerous?
"That's different." Alicia shook her head.
"If the flames are not controlled properly, there is a danger that they will backfire on the caster, causing great destruction. Most importantly, there are very few spells that can stop the spread of the flames, and I have not mastered them."
Ivan's heart turned cold as he recalled the destroyed Room of Requirement in the book, in which Crabbe was unable to control his magic after releasing the Fire of Malice.
In Ivan's mind, the only thing that could suppress such a terrifying flame was a high-level spell, the Ultimate Charm!
Ivan didn't think he had any control over the Fire, but to his dismay, no matter how much he tried to persuade Alicia, she refused to teach him the spell.
This, coupled with the fact that Ivan had no intention of talking about the Horcrux Diary, made it even more unlikely that he would be able to reason with Alicia.
As a result, Ivan continued to frown as they ate, thinking about how to destroy the Horcrux.
Do I have to teach myself in the Restricted Section of Hogwarts?
After dinner, Ivan was about to go upstairs to his room when he was stopped by Alicia, who threw a ring-like object at him.
Flustered, Ivan took it and looked at her doubtfully.
Alicia put one hand on her hip and pointed a soup ladle at Ivan with the other.
"This is a ring that can release the Fire-Storming Curse, and can be used twice. Although the range of the Fire-Storm released is a little small, it is not easy to lose control. Be careful when you use it, don't burn yourself."
"Now can you tell me what you're planning to do with Sharp Fire?" Alicia asked.
"I'll tell you when I can!" Ivan replied casually, putting the ring away.
Ivan slipped into his room as fast as he could before Alicia lost her temper.
Outside the door, I heard a faint roar of anger from Alicia.
Ivan didn't have time to pay attention to this, so he quickly pulled up the system's magical inventory.
[Magical Item: Ring of Fire
Magic: Higher
Effect: Summon Fire (2/3)
"Has it been used once already?" Ivan muttered to himself, looking at the ring in his hand, which was black and grey and quite inconspicuous.
This reminded him of the time when he had first returned home to fight with Alicia, and she had used a Firestarter.
Ivan didn't pay much attention to the restrictions on how many times he could use it. Once he had deciphered the formula, he would be able to create a similar magical object by buying some materials.
This, however, made Ivan realise that there were some things that Alicia had not taught him about the making of magical objects.
Aside from this knowledge of dangerous fire-related magic, he had little knowledge of how to make a crescent moon pendant.
Even after reaching Level 4 in alchemy, Ivan attempted to repair the Deathproof Pendant so that it would not be difficult for Alicia to answer.
Unfortunately, by the time it was actually repaired, Ivan found that he had no idea where to start.
With his current level of alchemy, he could create an identical crescent moon pendant, but the defensive effect would at most be similar to a protective ring. It would not be able to withstand a high-intensity fatal attack!
[Magical Item: Crescent Necklace
Magic: Low (Stronger)
Special State: Damaged
Description: This is a magical object made from the blood, sweat, and tears of a large number of precious metals.
Note: It contains more than just magical power, which you cannot repair with your level of alchemy…"
"Does it contain more than magical power?" Yvonne asked, perusing the instructions at the end of the crescent moon pendant.
