Chapter 95 - Turkeys Made Like This Have No Soul…

"I'm glad you do," said Isiah, and then asked how Ivan had resisted the Scouring Eye.

"It's Occlumency. I found it in the school's Restricted Section." Yvonne thought about it and decided not to hide the truth.

It was thanks to Dumbledore's repeated use of Dementor that Ivan was able to react so quickly.

"Well done. It looks like you learned a lot of good stuff in there, considering I only dared to sneak into the Restricted Section in my second year."

Isiah looked at Ivan with admiration and did not reprimand him for breaking the school rules. He only reminded Ivan to keep some knowledge in mind and not to try it unless he was absolutely certain.

Isiah's reaction was exactly what Ivan had expected. As far as he could remember, Isiah didn't care much for rules, but his encouragement to go into the Restricted Section and rummage through the books made Ivan sweat…

Due to Ivan's recent shock, Alicia regaled him with stories of her first visit to the Restricted Section, where Filch nearly caught her.

Eventually, she retaliated by hiding Filch's cat, causing him to search for her for days…

Or the occasional use of the Fear Charm to toy with ghosts and young wizards in their year…

As Ivan listened, his gaze towards Alicia became more and more strange, and he suddenly remembered that the Sorting Hat had once told him that someone had used the Fear Charm to play a prank on him, which gave Dumbledore a headache…

Unexpectedly, it was his mother, Alicia…

Yvonne went along with it, then remembered the question she hadn't asked.

"By the way, why didn't we just use Floo Powder to get to the fireplace?"

"I enchanted the fireplace at home. I remember telling you that." Alicia looked at Ivan suspiciously for a moment.

"How can I keep remembering when it happened?" Ivan asked with a shrug as he searched through his memories.

Even though Ivan was able to sort through his memories through Occlumency, they were ten years of a person's life, and he could not remember everything clearly.

Sometimes you had to think back for a while.

In order not to say too much, Ivan kept his mouth shut for the rest of the journey, using only his eyes to observe his surroundings.

If Diagon Alley was a bustling city street, then Knockturn Alley would be somewhat like a slum, perhaps even more dangerous.

Because it was also home to a large number of Dark Wizards, and because the Second Wizarding War was only ten years old, and many Death Eaters had escaped punishment, it was difficult to say how effective Ministry rules were in Knockturn Alley.

Ivan could feel several malicious stares directed his way, both openly and covertly, but they were quickly averted, presumably because of Alicia's presence.

About seven or eight minutes later, Ivan saw his house in his memory, which was also a Dark Arts shop. Perhaps because it was remote and the land was cheap, it seemed very large and spacious.

Through the glass window, one could vaguely see many magical objects on the shelves.

Unlike Borgin and Burkes, which was described as sinister and scary, the items that Ivan found inside were mostly wristbands, necklaces, cards, and the like.

The shop was divided into two floors: the first floor, where magical objects were sold, the second floor, where the living quarters were located, and the basement, where Isiah made or studied magical objects.

"Why don't you get some rest? I'll go and cook." Alicia led Ivan into the kitchen.

Ivan was relieved to have some time to himself after Alicia's departure, and he was mentally and physically exhausted from searching through his memories and chatting with her.

Ivan had a headache thinking about how he was going to spend the rest of the summer together,

There was a loud clatter in the kitchen, which attracted Ivan's attention like a hotel scullery.

When Ivan looked through the window, he saw Alicia standing in the middle of the kitchen, gently waving her wand, and a clean-shaven turkey jumped onto the chopping board.

The knife hanging on the side of the table slowly drifted over. As it passed, it cut a piece of steak neatly into several large pieces and began to process the turkey. The various jars of seasoning were not idle either. The wine was poured straight down and the turkey was soaked in a basin. The steak was sprinkled with unknown seasoning and sent to the magical oven.

Ivan even saw the turkey turning on its own accord when greasing its wings, raising its wings so that the brush could rub more oil under them and smell better when roasting.

Ivan had a strange expression on his face when he saw this. He searched his memory and found that it had been transformed into a magical kitchen by Alicia. The cooking process was basically like making an assembly line…

Everything was made to look the same, and very quickly, with little movement on Alicia's part, a lavish turkey feast was served…

Yvonne wanted to say that this dish had no soul!

However, when Alicia brought the plates to the table, Ivan couldn't help but swallow, as it seemed to smell good…

However, Ivan found it strange that the dinner was so sumptuous. Even with the magical kitchen, Alicia rarely bought so many ingredients.

"This was supposed to be for Christmas…" Alicia's dark purple eyes stared straight at him, her gaze bitter.

"Well… I'll be back in the next school year," Ivan stammered, because he had indeed stood Alicia up at Christmas, and he hadn't sent her a single letter.

Ivan could imagine Isiah preparing everything and then waiting for him at the station.

I didn't expect them to keep the ingredients…

Wait a minute… Christmas? That seemed like months ago.

Ivan, who was eating a turkey feast, suddenly froze.

'So how long was this turkey kept?'

"This chicken isn't out of date, is it?" Ivan asked, turning to look at Alicia woodenly.
