Chapter 78 - What Is Using Your Hands to Smear Your Face?

Ivan's mouth fell open as he watched the pair disappear into the flames.

Because they had to go through the rampaging pawns to get back, it was a difficult journey for the four of them, let alone Hermione and Ron.

However, staying here did not mean absolute safety. It would be fine if he and Harry won, but if they lost, their enclosed space would not be able to escape from Quirrell and Voldemort.

"Let's go," Ivan sighed. He'd better worry about himself first.

Harry nodded solemnly and gulped down the contents of the bottle, looking like he was ready to die, although he was more confident than he had been in the book, thanks to Ivan.

Harry, however, soon found Ivan beside him chanting some sort of strange incantation, and with a flick of his wand, Ivan disappeared.

He was alone on the empty platform, apart from the flames that were rising all around him.

"Ivan? Are you still there?" Harry was suddenly flustered …

"I used the Disillusionment Charm, which has the same effect as your Invisibility Cloak, and it's right next to you," Ivan said in his ear.

Harry calmed down a little, and although he felt strangely weak at not being able to see Ivan, he did not tell him to get out of the situation and go in with him.

In this way, they had a better chance of winning.

Even if he were to be used as bait, Harry would have no problem with it, as Ivan, unlike him, did not have to face the Dark Lord's responsibilities and obligations, and was instead dragged into it.

Before stepping into the black flames, Ivan spoke again, as if he had thought of something.

"When you get inside, don't panic about what you see and don't get into a fight immediately. Find a way to get close to Quirrell or Lord Voldemort, then restrain him, grab his hand, or stuff it in his face. It's best not to give Quirrell a chance to pull his wand."

Harry was nonplussed. He knew about restrictions, but what about using one's hands to cover one's face?

Blocking the view?

Harry did not understand, but agreed, as he was not one of those old-fashioned wizards who thought it beneath him not to fight with magic.

Just be reckless and be done with it…

Ivan was also slightly relieved. As long as Voldemort wanted the stone, he would not attack Harry immediately, and if he did, they would win.

"Exchange experience card…" Ivan muttered to himself.

[Ding, exchanged, 100 GPA deducted…]

As the prompt sounded, Ivan's brain worked faster, and his various senses became more sensitive.

Ivan didn't dare relax when his opponent was Lord Voldemort, so he pushed himself to his limits.

He took a few steps forward and entered the range of the black flames. Hot tongues of fire assaulted his face, but the strange flames remained extremely hot without any attachments.

Fortunately, the fireproof potion worked well. A thin curtain of water automatically appeared around his body, blocking the flames and the heat.

Beyond them was a large room with twelve huge pillars supporting it. In the middle of the room was a large mirror, in which stood a wizard in a black robe with a hood covering his head.

The black-robed figure seemed to have heard something behind him, for it gradually turned around, and Harry's eyes widened as a chill ran down his spine.

Ivan could barely maintain the Disillusionment Charm…

What kind of face was that?

The face was pitted and scarred by fire, with no good skin on it, and the white bones of the forehead were visible.

The eyes had lost the protection of their eyelids and were exposed. The strangest thing was that the burned face seemed to overlap with the other illusory snake face.

Ivan swallowed hard. He had guessed that Quirrell and Lord Voldemort would not have survived his and Norbert's attacks unscathed, but he had not expected Quirrell to be so badly injured and still be alive…

"Harry… Potter!" came the deep, gravelly voice from Quirrell's burned-out mouth, a mixture of anger, surprise, and surprise…

"Are you Quirrell? Or Lord Voldemort? What happened to your body?" Despite his fear, Harry forced himself to calm down and approach Voldemort, following Ivan's instructions.

"And you're asking me why?" Voldemort's already turbulent emotions became more furious.

It was all because of that useless Quirrell!

It took him so much effort to kill a unicorn, and not only did he not get any blood, but he was also hit by a dragon that came out of nowhere.

Initially, he managed to forcefully block the attack, but he fell badly. However, before he could recover, his hiding place was ignited by a large-scale fire spell, mixed with a few scorching dragon breaths!

The idiot Quirrell was knocked out cold, and his wand was temporarily knocked out of his hand. If he had not taken full control of the body, forcibly cast a spell without a wand, and recovered it in time to escape, the body would have been charred.

What made him even more furious was the fact that he had not seen what the attacker looked like, daring to cast a Fire Charm on a large scale in a place like the Forbidden Forest, even though there were not many such demented wizards in his Death Eaters…

Lord Voldemort had lost patience with Quirrell, and after crudely mending the broken body with Dark Magic, he suppressed Quirrell's own consciousness.

Although it would not last for more than a few days, if he could get his hands on the stone, he would get back everything he had lost!

Now that the key to breaking Dumbledore's spell lay before him, Voldemort could not contain his excitement.

Harry kept his mouth shut as he realised that the man in front of him was not Quirrell, but Lord Voldemort. Despite his fear, he moved slowly towards him, his legs shaking.

"Yes, come here, that's it… what a pleasant surprise." Voldemort looked at Harry eagerly, but then his voice changed and his face darkened as if he had sensed something.

"But before that, it's better to get rid of any bugs that sneak in…"

Harry's face fell, and Ivan, hearing this, lunged for the stone pillar…
