Chapter 44 - Deathly Hallows and Gifts

A few days later, when the opportunity Ivan had been waiting for had not presented itself, Quirrell seemed to have become more cautious, and did not move much for several days.

Ivan had no choice but to focus on the upcoming Christmas, and prepare a Christmas present for Harry and the others, thanks to the amount of Galleons Ivan had left over after purchasing the ingredients.

Half of the time was spent in the library, and the other half was spent with the Weasley brothers, who, when they had sufficient funds, were eager to pursue their careers, taking advantage of the holidays to study the making of magical objects.

Ivan, as special adviser, was of course among them, having achieved a breakthrough in his magical item-making, which had not grown since the beginning of term.

As a result of the upgrade, Ivan planned to give Ron a set of wizarding flags as a Christmas present, which would save him some Galleons.

He gave Hermione his reading notes, which contained a large number of spell-casting tricks that he believed the young witch would enjoy.

As for Harry's present, Ivan couldn't think of anything special that he would like, so he simply gave him a small Christmas gift box, in which the four figures would pop out and sing Merry Christmas to each other.

These four figures were Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ivan himself.

On the Weasley brothers' side, Ivan sent several toffees, which he had developed in advance in imitation of their work in the book, in the hope that they would feel "surprise" after eating them.

Ivan is also looking forward to the presents he will receive tomorrow…

The night passed quickly, and on Christmas Day, Ivan saw Harry and Ron unpacking a suitcase and joined them.

As soon as she opened the first gift, she heard Ron say excitedly,

"God, that's a cool wizard's flag… Ivan, how did you do that?"

Ron was fiddling with his wizarding flag.

The flags were made with beautiful and ornate skins, and the soldiers were transformed into wizards in robes, and the knights were replaced with unicorns and Thestrals, as well as advanced units such as dragons.

Although there were no changes to the rules, the game was like a wizarding war from the perspective of the various configurations. Ivan also enchanted the battlefield with various light effects.

Ron was delighted, but asked who Dumbledore's opponent was.

"You-Know-Who?" Ron asked, shuddering at the possibility.

"No, Grindelwald," Ivan explained.

"Who's that?" Harry asked when he heard Ron mention You-Know-Who.

"Don't you remember? Professor Dumbledore's greatest achievement, aside from discovering the uses of dragon's blood, was defeating the Dark Wizard Grindelwald in nineteen forty-five," Ivan reminded them.

It occurred to Harry that he had been given one of Dumbledore's cards, and it said so.

Harry then managed to unwrap the present Ivan had given him, which had the ability to play Christmas songs out of character, almost making him think it was the best Christmas gift he had ever received.

This lasted until he removed a strange, silvery-grey, liquid-like fabric from the last package.

"What's this?" Harry asked curiously, touching it.

"It's an Invisibility Cloak," Ivan said, glancing at it with interest.

"Can I touch it?"

"Of course…" Harry held out the cloak and Yvonne took it.

At the same time, Ivan noticed that there was an extra item in his system's Magical Artefacts column about the Cloak of Invisibility.

[Magical Item: Invisibility Cloak (Deathly Hallows)

Magic: Extreme

Description: Legend has it that this is a Deathly Hallows crafted by the Grim Reaper himself using the Grim Reaper's Cloak as a material. It possesses unimaginable magical powers and allows the wearer to hide from detection.]

"Isn't it just a permanently enhanced version of the Disillusionment Charm? It's so exaggerated…" Ivan muttered.

Judging from the book's performance, the Deathly Trio seems to be an undeserving title to Ivan.

Under the protection of the Cloak of Invisibility, Harry would not only be seen through by Dumbledore, Snape, and the others, but he would also be seen through by Moody's magical eye, and would not be able to hide from the Dementors.

The Resurrection Stone's only function was to summon the spirits of the dead to communicate.

The only thing of note is the Elder Wand, which provides a boost to the fighting abilities of wizards such as Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort, although the owner of the wand changes after a defeat in battle.

Ivan complained as he tried to put the cloak on.

As Ivan vanished into thin air before Harry and Ron's eyes, Harry tried to reach out to her and felt a film of water.

Ivan was in his Invisibility Cloak, and he was experiencing the strange sensation of being completely separated from the outside world by a thin layer of Invisibility Cloak.

Ivan tried to take a few steps and made a deliberate noise to ask if Harry and the others could hear him, and concluded that the Cloak of Invisibility did indeed act as a barrier, although it was a far cry from the complete invisibility he had imagined.

I wonder how it got such a strong review from the system… Is this the limit of the world?

"A very useful prop…" Ivan experimented for a while before taking off the Invisibility Cloak and returning it to Harry.

If he wanted to achieve a similar effect, he could go to the Restricted Section to learn the Phantom Curse, which consumed a lot of magic and could not last long.

Harry and Ron were also excited to experience the effects of the Cloak of Invisibility, while Ivan rummaged through his Christmas presents.

There was a bag of sweets, two round irregularly shaped objects, a notebook, ten Galleons, and a crescent moon with his name engraved on it…
