Exploration missions that reach a certain number have additional rewards?
Ivan was curious. The reward was not given out directly, but had to be found in the Restricted Section in the middle of the night, a process that always gave Ivan the creeps.
However, since it was a reward, Ivan decided to go. After all, he had seen the ghost before. What was there to be afraid of at night?
In the hall, Harry and Ron were eating lunch at the round table. When they saw Ivan, they quickly greeted him.
"Ivan, over here!"
"Where have you been all morning? Why are you in such a mess?" Harry asked, curious about Ivan's apparent collapse.
"I'm just looking for a place to practice my charms." Ivan rolled his eyes and stuffed a piece of roasted sausage into his mouth with his knife. He had used up most of the morning and hadn't eaten anything.
It was the first time in many days that Ivan had expended so much of his magic, and he still felt dizzy.
Ivan ate heartily in the Great Hall while Harry and Ron discussed flying techniques excitedly.
Ivan, on the other hand, was slightly intrigued when he remembered that he had a flying lesson that afternoon.
After all, flying was almost everyone's dream, and having to ride a broomstick did not detract from it.
The Slytherin house was even more crowded, with Draco Malfoy loudly boasting about his previous practice of flying, surrounded by the crowd.
"I've been riding a broomstick since before I was on Hogwart's, and my dad flew me all the way home and once hit a Muggle plane, which I would have knocked off if I hadn't dodged!" said Draco triumphantly.
Ivan had just taken a mouthful of goat's milk and nearly vomited it in public,
Hit a plane? If that's so awesome, why don't you go to heaven?
Flying so high with a broomstick without any protection would have frozen to death…
"Ivan, have you ever ridden on a broomstick before?" Harry, who had been annoyed by Draco's boasting for some time now, asked Ivan, seeing his reaction.
"No." Ivan shook his head decisively. Even if he had learned it before, he had forgotten now…
"What about you, Ron?" Harry asked hopefully.
Ron didn't let Harry down and talked about practicing with Charlie's old broom at home.
Ivan watched quietly as Ron and Draco bragged about how they were all going to have to show their true colours in flying class…
As expected, Harry was the only one among the twenty or so young wizards who managed to summon his broom to his hand at the sound of Madam Hooch's whistle.
Draco Malfoy, who had been boasting about how he had nearly crashed the plane, was one step behind Harry. Fortunately, the broom eventually flew into Draco's hand, saving him from embarrassment.
Ron, on the other hand, was in trouble. Perhaps because he shouted too loudly, the broom bounced off his head and hit him in the forehead.
"Get up!" Ivan shouted and summoned his broom, just as Madam Hooch had demonstrated, but the broom just stayed on the ground and spun lazily, showing no intention of getting up.
Ivan was so anxious that he regretted not reading more books on flying to get more proficiency.
It wasn't until Madam Hooch turned her head around that Ivan had the opportunity to hook his foot around the broom and gently kick it into his hand, becoming the third student to receive the broom.
Madam Hooch nodded appreciatively at Ivan's steady grip on the broom, and proceeded to instruct the other students.
Harry, on the other hand, was stunned by Ivan's antics. Ivan placed his hand in front of his mouth and gestured for Harry to keep quiet.
It's easy to ride a broomstick when you have a credit point…
However, Ivan complained for a long time about the fact that the system only had the Learning Genius experience card as an exchange option.
Why didn't he get anything that could enhance his talent?
What if someone saw through his act of being a straight-A student? Where would he get his GPA?
In an attempt to preserve her classroom reputation, Ivan visualised hundreds of handsome ways to ride a horse, as well as the potential for trouble in flight, as Madam Hooch taught the other students.
He also prayed that the broken broom in his hand would give him some face. If he could not fly on it, it would be awkward…
"All of you, look at me. I'll only demonstrate once." Madam Hooch saw that everyone was holding their brooms firmly in their hands, so she walked to the front and demonstrated the correct riding posture.
"Hold on. When I blow the whistle, push off the ground. Remember to hold on to your brooms and try to get to a height of a few feet…"
Madam Hooch shouted instructions to the group, and Ivan duly mounted his broomstick and prepared to experience his first high-altitude flight.
However, before Ivan could try, Neville, who was standing nearby, flew high into the air with a "whoosh" and screamed in pain.
"Ah ah ah~"
Neville was sent flying at least twenty feet into the air, causing chaos among the wizards below, and Ivan, remembering that Neville looked like he was going to fall, managed to get his wand out first.
"Wingadim Leviosa!" Ivan flung a Levitation Charm at Neville, who was falling rapidly from mid-air.
The force of the spell instantly stopped Neville's fall, and he was suspended three feet in the air.
Madam Hooch's high-strung heart relaxed. God only knew how worried she was. If Neville had a problem with her flying lessons, Madam Hooch would be ashamed to remain at Hogwarts.
"Well done, Gryffindor five points more!" Madam Hooch gave Ivan an appreciative look.
At the same time, Ivan received a prompt for his GPA to increase.
The Gryffindors, led by Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and the others, applauded.
However, before they could do more than clap their hands, Neville fell from midair.
It was very awkward…
"I'm sorry, Madam Hooch, but I seem to have run out of magic." Ivan's smile froze on his face, and he shrugged helplessly. Practicing charms all morning was a miracle, catching Neville as he plummeted.
In any case, he had already gotten his GPA. At most, he would just deduct the five extra points…
