The quiet environment made Ivan extremely grateful to the caretaker, Madame Pince, for the library's prohibition of loud noises.
As the basis of the Transfiguration Charm, the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration was not particularly difficult, although it was clear that the thick pages could not be read in a short period of time.
An hour passed in the blink of an eye, and Ivan's hand was only a little more than a third of the way through the pages. After a moment's consideration, Ivan went back to reading, and another hour and a half passed by the time he had finished.
After reading for more than two hours, Ivan's head was spinning by the time he put the book down.
These ancient books of magic often included strange, unintelligible words, which seemed to reveal the mystery of magic, much to Ivan's discomfort.
"Perhaps this is what it means to be a wizard…" Ivan muttered to himself, thinking that perhaps this rather metaphysical way of thinking was the true talent of a wizard.
He couldn't understand it anyway!
[Ding, after a period of serious reading, you find the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration boring, hard to understand, and the proficiency of the Transfiguration Charm has increased slightly.
Note: Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration reading: 27%
The system prompt that sounded in Ivan's mind surprised him again, as it did not trigger when he read it in class.
Did he have to finish it?
Ivan was suddenly aware of the difference. He had never read any of the books before, so this was the difference.
With this idea in mind, Ivan turned his attention to the system's prompt that sounded no different from a game log.
Yvonne felt that although there were some things she didn't understand after reading the book, they weren't exactly boring or incomprehensible.
Ivan could understand the twenty-seven percent reading.
Anyone who had read a book would know that just because one had finished reading a book did not mean that one would be able to memorize all the knowledge in the book and apply it freely. Otherwise, wouldn't everyone be able to score full marks in exams?
"Now let's see how good the so-called Academic Genius Card is," Ivan muttered to himself, then spent a hundred points to exchange for the Academic Genius Card.
[Remaining time: 00: 59: 59…]
In an instant, Ivan felt as if something had exploded inside his head. All the knowledge he had learned recently, all the books he had read, seemed to gush out of him, and within half a minute, they were sorted and summarized. His thoughts became clear…
This feeling was as if a worn-out old computer had suddenly been replaced with the latest model.
A minute later, Ivan opened his eyes and gently brushed his right hand across the cover of the Beginner's Transfiguration Guide. Although he had yet to open it, the contents of the book that he had read before floated into his mind.
The previously obscure and cryptic phrases combined with the context seemed to have been interpreted in a new way.
A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration was a basic textbook used at Hogwarts to teach young wizards and witches, and must have been revised many times, refined and concise… at least for wizards.
By the time Ivan opened the book and re-examined the contents, he had a general understanding of the book's contents. All that was left was to re-read the parts of the book that he had previously not understood and simply skipped over.
Third page, second chapter … seventh page, thirteenth chapter …
Ivan's hands flew across the pages of the Beginner's Transfiguration Guide, and the reading progress index in his mind increased rapidly…
It took Ivan only twenty minutes to reread the entire book.
[Ding, after a period of careful reading, you feel that the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration is simple and straightforward, without any challenge, and the proficiency of the Transfiguration Spell has greatly improved.

The moment Ivan put down the book, two notifications rang in his head.
It is worth noting that Ivan did not feel any effects from the upgrade of the Transfiguration Charm, nor did he feel any other effects.
However, after understanding the principles behind the Transfiguration Charm, Ivan felt that it would not be difficult for him to cast it. At the very least, turning a match into a silver needle would be easy for him.
Even if he held the wand in his hand, it would not affect his performance. At most, it would be slightly less effective.
This was as Ivan had guessed. Proficiency and improvement did not directly increase his strength, but rather showed it through proficiency.
Seeing that there were still thirty-seven minutes until the Academic Genius Experience Card's expiry date, Ivan did not hesitate. He quickly ran to the bookshelf and picked up the nearest copy of the book.
As soon as he touched it, Ivan felt that the book was thicker than he had imagined, and contained an analysis of common magical incantations and conjectures about the composition of magic.
Any other time, Ivan would have found such a purely theoretical book boring, but this time, he was quite engrossed in it. Even when the system prompt sounded in his head, he ignored it and immersed himself in the sea of knowledge.
However, halfway through the book, Ivan's expression suddenly changed. He felt as if his clear mind was covered in a white fog, and his thoughts were forcibly interrupted.
This feeling was like being frightened and forced to hold back when one was trying to go easy on someone.
Am I suddenly stupid?
Ivan stared blankly at the detailed explanation of the principles of the spell, unable to adjust to the sudden change in his IQ.
It wasn't until she was rooted to the ground for quite some time that Ivan realised what was going on. He gently tapped his dizzy head and looked around to see that the remaining thirty minutes had passed.
Ivan looked at the half-unread page in his hand and reluctantly flipped it open again. However, the other half of the page seemed to have suddenly become abstruse and difficult to understand, causing his reading efficiency to drop by several times. This was difficult for Ivan, who had experienced the Academic Genius Mode bonus.
After a few pages, Ivan sighed and put the book down.
After an hour of straight-A mode, Ivan learned the true power of this exchange.
This was not just a matter of increasing one's learning speed by several times, but also a comprehensive improvement in one's comprehension and thinking ability. A perfect example would be turning a bad student into a top student or even a genius!
There was almost no such thing as an incomprehensible problem with learning.
