Chapter 91 - Look, How Nice It Was When It Left…_1

As she struggled with her studies, Ivan made it to the end of term.

At the end of the year, while Dumbledore prattled on in the Great Hall, the young wizards of the other Houses were drowsy.

This was because even Slytherin, which was in second place, had long since given up on the idea of competing for the House.

However, the young Gryffindor wizards were in high spirits, and when Dumbledore announced the ownership of Gryffindor House, they all clapped their hands and looked proudly at the Slytherins seated at the table opposite them.

Ivan received a lot of attention in the process, but he was too busy trying to catch a mouse to care.

He had reached a small bottleneck in his study of the art of the Puffs, and ordinary practice or reading had little effect, so Ivan decided to practice the Transformation Charm first.

As before, after signing the school's exit agreement, the hulking Hagrid led the first years to the Hogwarts Station.

As they watched Hogwarts Castle move further and further away, Ivan heard the system's voice in his head.

[Ding! School year over. Would you like to proceed with the school year summary?]

"Yes!" said Ivan to himself.

When the results were announced, Ivan wondered why the system did not respond or reward him. It turned out that the system only gave him a summary prompt when he left school.

[As of today, your performance in this school year is as follows:

Evaluation: Excellent

Reward: 100 GPA

Final exam results: Potions (Outstanding), Transfiguration (Outstanding), Herbology (Outstanding) … History of Magic (Exceeding Expectations)

Reward: 650 GPA

Honor: Quidditch champion (not involved), Gryffindor House Cup (100 GPA).

Overall Reward: 850 GPA]

The unexpected reward of 850 GPA surprised Ivan, who had been worried about not having enough GPA.

What a timely arrival!

This put Ivan's mind at ease, and with the two hundred GPA he had set aside, he was able to set aside ten hours of combat time, or use it to study quickly.

"All right, children, move faster. We have to hurry to the station!"

Hagrid, who was at the front of the group, shouted at them as loudly as a drum.

Ivan collected himself and followed Hagrid to Hogwarts Station, which was not far from the lake. From there, he could see the old steam engine with its beautiful red paint on the bottom and its large exhaust emitting thick white steam.

Yvonne was surprised that her first trip on the Hogwarts Express was on her way out, which was unusual…

While Ivan was lost in thought, Harry and Ron pulled him into one of the boxes.

There was a lot of room in the box, so it didn't feel crowded even with three or four people in it.

Hermione, who had been sharing a compartment with her roommates Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown, could not get used to it.

They were soon chatting animatedly, especially Hermione and Ron, who had enjoyed their stay at Hogwarts but missed their home.

Harry occasionally chimed in, complaining about his adopted uncle's family.

Ivan used this time to retrieve an unconscious rat from the tin cage he had brought with him and place it on the table, preparing to resume his magical study of flesh and blood cells.

Once he got out of the car, he would not be able to use magic at will.

"Is this your new pet? A mouse? What about Marka?" Harry asked, puzzled by Ivan's strange behaviour.

"It's not a pet, it's just a prop for Transfiguration practice," Ivan explained, closing his eyes and pouring as much magic into the rat as he could.

Hermione and Ron turned to look curiously at Ivan's actions.

However, all they saw was Ivan holding his wand to the rat's forehead and then standing there, stunned.

"Is this really going to work?" Ron muttered.

"To analyze objects with magic is a prerequisite for learning advanced Transfiguration," Ivan said, opening his eyes.

"Like you transformed into an owl?" Harry asked curiously.

Ivan nodded. "Something like that." He didn't mention the Animagus transformation, which was the right way to look at it.

Harry and the others were intrigued. They knew how powerful Ivan's Transfiguration was, but they did not expect him to practise it in such a manner.

Ivan didn't stop them, and allowed them to try. The rats were everywhere, and he had caught more than one at Hogwarts.

Harry tried to keep his body as straight as Ivan's had been, his wand touching the mouse's forehead as he tried to infuse it with magic, while Hermione watched curiously.

Ron remembered that he had a rat of his own, so he grabbed Scabbers, who was gnawing on a Flavoured Bean, and used his wand to try and channel some of his own magic.

Scabbers was momentarily scared out of his wits, and he let out a piercing shriek of terror, but Ron grabbed him by the tail and he was unable to run, and could only twist his body to avoid Ron's wand…

"Don't move, let me do my spell properly…" Ron held Scabbers down and pushed the wand against his head.

Scabbers looked as if he had lost all hope, but at that moment, a noise from Harry's side attracted Ron's attention.

Rat, who was lying unconscious on the table, began to convulse rapidly after being injected with Harry's magic. He was foaming at the mouth, and a few seconds later, his legs gave way and he went still.

Scabbers's eyes widened when he saw this. He thought he might not live to see another day.

Harry looked embarrassed. He had just lost a little bit of his magic, and now this was happening.

"It doesn't matter. I've already put a Stunning Spell on the rat and it passed out peacefully…" Ivan waved his hand, indicating that he was a very humane wizard and would never mistreat an animal.

Even if it's just a mouse…

"That's Ron abusing rats!" Yvonne glanced at Scabbers and remembered that Scabbers was supposed to be an Animagus…
